Dear Wendy,

Can you please share the US chart that you are using?

It appears that this election is the most closely faught one, specially

looking at the democratic party momination. I guess this close fight would spill

over the the presidential election as well as the democratic candidate would be

an uncoventional one for the US, but a very strong one as well.

Regards,

Krishna

Dear Group,

Taking advantage of some quiet time, I've had a look at the transits for

election day (4 Nov 2008).

After much research, some years ago, I decided upon Sagittarius lagna for US

chart and, so far, it seems to reflect the events affecting the US. On

election day the dasa of MO-SU-RA-KE(?) will be running...

Dasa lord Moon, in nakshatra of Rahu, occupies Aquarius with dispositor

(Saturn) in 10th whilst pratyantar lord Rahu conjuncts 10th lord/karaka

(Mercury) in Cancer...8th house of change/transformation.

The transits for election day show Moon/Rahu transiting Ketu in Capricorn

whilst Ketu transits Rahu in 8th...

Obviously there are indications there that suggest a strong female

influence...

Best Wishes,

Mrs. Wendy

Dear Group

I have the information for candidate MCcain's transits for Nov 4, 2008, and my

question is do you read it from his Venus ascendant or from his Moon in

Capricorn.

Your enlightenment will be appreciated.

Thank you

Dear Eligio,

I generally note the transits of dasa lords in relation to their natal

position (as a first consideration) as well as from lagna and Moon.

The effect of transiting planets in conjunction and/or aspecting dasa lords

is important.

Apologies if I seem a bit vague...a little busy off-list at the moment.

Best Wishes,

Mrs. Wendy

Dear Eligio,

Unfortunately I was unable to answer your query as I would have liked

yesterday (due to preoccupation with other things). So, let me try to expand

on that now, if I may :-)

In BPHS Ch.47

http://jyotishvidya.com/ch47.htm

Here we're given some insight to the importance of the transit of dasa lord

at the commencement of his dasa...see below.

**5-6. The effects are favourable, if at the commencement of the Dasha the

Dasha Lord is in Lagn, in his exaltation, own, or a Shant Rashi. The results

are unfavourable, if the Dasha Lord is in Ari, Randhr, or Vyaya Bhava, in

his debilitation, or in an inimical Rashi.**

We can conclude from this that dasa lord's transit (throughout his period)

will have a marked influence. As an example, it's often been observed that

transit Mercury going retrograde has a noticeable effect for those under

Mercury's influence...

Best Wishes,

Mrs. Wendy
