Guest guest
Dear Savithri, Well it's probably misleading to call it a concept. Knowing the significations of 8th (from any house) we can see the discontinuation/finalisation of events related to that house...this is not some new concept. For example, we all know that 8th from 10th (5th house) can indicate end of career, fall from position etc...just as 8th from lagna shows the final result of life itself which, of course, is death. 8th also shows legacies received, inheritance, money from insurance and such. If 8th is favourable one may obtain a good inheritance; if unfavourable one may not. Similarly 8th from 9th shows final results of 9th (higher education etc). The best final results of higher education would be to obtain a degree. However, if this house is weak one might not obtain the desired degree at the end of his studies. Seventh house (8th from 12th) is another example that springs to mind. 12th signifies travel abroad whilst 7th shows living abroad. PS: For a few days now my mails have not been getting through to the group. So far several have failed to show up (in spite of resending them). No telling if this one will reach the group either but all I can do, at this stage, is to send and hope for the best. Should the 4th house/lord be strong in order to harness the strength of 9th house. We r all aware that 5 and 9 are trines to each other. But the connection between 4 the kendra and 9 the kona is new concept to me. regards savithri Wendy Vasicek <jyotish wrote: Dear Chandramohan, If I might just add a little here in addition to what Krishna and Savithri have said... No doubt 9th house holds the portfolio for all kinds of higher education. However, as we know, not all who pursue higher education are rewarded with a degree. For this we have to look to 4th house which governs ultimate results of education (degrees etc). Worth noting is 4th's role as 8th from 9th. As a significator of success and/or failure, discontinuation etc., 8th (from 9th) heralds the discontinuation of higher education which may or may not result in a degree. For you, 4th lord (dispositor of Rahu) occupies 12th in sign of Grt.Fr. Jupiter, indicates that you may obtain a degree in a foreign land. Mars in retrograde suggests there may be some setbacks for you to deal with.
