Guest guest
Dear Members: Though I am not associated with Naadi astrology, I happen to know something about the way it works, and thought I would as well throw a light on that case..... The person had approached the naadi reader with thumb imprint of a deceased relative taken from old records. However, it is to be noted that for males the right hand thumb impression is to be taken while in all records the impression will be of the left hand thumb. So, when you approach a person based on erraneous data just to prove that something is wrong, it is always possible to nail like that! Of course, we do not know whether the naadi reader actually was a fraud or not; but the modus operandi of the client was malafide and it is against traditions to test this subject like that, and there are classics which explicitly prohibit giving predictions to atheists and non-believers! Such being the case, when the client had approached the naadi astrologer with a malafide intent (no doubt, he would have confused the naadi reader with wrong answers when preliminary questions pertaining to the person for whom the naadi was taken were raised by the naadi reader), poor man how could he have taken the right leaf as he would have depended on the data provided by the client. In my experience (of trying out naadi readings for my clients who had wanted to consult the naadis), I have seen that there are very similar naadi readings for different person where everything from the name, father's name, mother's name, etc. are same and finally one or two minor points differentiate the two persons, and if the client had spotted the wrong leaf in haste without patiently trying to cross-verify all details, the predictions would be upside down only. Nobody goes to a doctor and keeps quiet and just asks the doctor to treat them without telling anything of their symptoms; yet the very same individuals expect astrologers to guess their maladies correctly and if the astrologer errs in that, he is branded as fraud. On a more objective note, I feel more research should be done regards Naadi astrology and its methodologies. The feedback we get about naadi readings ranges from " near incredible accuracy " to " absolutely pathetic " . The naadi readers are very secretive about how they pick up the right leaves out of so many bundles even when queried by persons like myself, and this secrecy is what has given rise to too many speculations about the very authenticity of the readings. There are some who feel that this is very similar to predictive astrology only; those persons are relying on some rule of the thumb rules, and are passing on the predictions in the name of the sages, and the name and other details are only extracted from the clients intelligently. But, based on my experiences with the naadi astrologers with my clients, I have found that these people DO TELL THE NAMES CORRECTLY WITHOUT ANY PROMPT FROM US...for instance, for one of my clients, the naadi astrologer kept on asking about the various alphabet combinations for the client's parents' names; from those queries and feedbacks, it was obvious that the naadi astrologer could guess the names; but to my surprise, the naadi astrologer could tell the name of the client's spouse exactly from the leaf about which he did not ask a single question! It is amazing and I can vouchsafe for the authenticity of the technique at least in this regard. It has happened at least thrice in my presence with different clients! I only pray that if the naadi astrologer had indeed been authentic and had been framed due to a dissatisfied client (predictions sometimes go awry if the remedial measures suggested are not followed properly! This is true even of normal predictive astrology), Divine Grace and the Blessings of the Sages should bring the person out of trouble safely unscathed. If he had really been duping people, the case should be a grim reminder and warning to all those persons exploiting the names of the venerable sages. Blessed be. Pandit.
