The 5 fingers corresponds to 5 elements: 1) agni- fire 2) prithvi- earth 3) jall- water 4) vayu- air 5) akash- space The 3 phlanges corresponds to 3 gunas 1) satt- satvik 2) rajj- rajsik 3) tamm- tamsik The Palm corresponds to SHIV, who has joined them with the help of SHAKTI. So use ur power of hands to do good things, then only the SHIV can be pleased & then he will bless U with the 7th element Moksha(unification of soul & god), The 6th element is Maya(Body, Illusion).
