Guest guest
Dear Balaji and All, ///Which son are you talking about?/// It's my eldest son (Andrew) who suffers from 'Deep Vein Thrombosis'...a consequence of serious injury he received in a vehicle accident many years ago. There have been worrying times when his lungs have collapsed because clots, forming in his leg, travelled to his lungs. He also had a minor stroke a while back. This time he got to hospital quickly and received treatment in time (fingers crossed). He's now being treated at home; a nurse coming twice a day to give injections (to dissolve the clots) and they've put him back on warfarin, which they'd stopped when he had the stroke... It's good that he can receive treatment at home; which they try to do here now, whenever possible...no one likes to be in hospital!
