My understanding is that if a natural/functional benefic is weak or afflicted the natural/benefic qualities of that planet can be strengthened by wearing its gem. I feel that the native in question was advised against wearing Venus' gem due to his owning both a kendra(4th) and a trishadya(11)... We're told that natural benefics owning kendras will not give benefic effects (unless also owning a trine). We're also told that any planet owning a trishadya (3,6,11) will give evil results. DOB: 16 Jan 1988 TOB: 5:14 pm (17:14) POB : Longitude : 88 :00 E Lattitude : 26:59 N My Venus is at 8th house in Aquarius. But from the commencement of Venus Mahadasha my academics is falling down sharply and I really cannot remember what I study. I am prone to forget even simple words ,basic language or basic math. I used to be a average good student. As a whole my academic is nearly going nil these days.And it keeps my night's sleep out. But beside study other sectors of life is satisfactory. I have shown my chart recently to an astrologer. He advised me to wear a Pearl ring. He also told me that due to 'sankata yogini dasha' currently I am in, My study is affected and may be hampered.
