Guest guest
Dear Mrs. Wendy, I started reading one of your recommended books, Ayurvedic Astrology by David Frawley. He explained the Om Bhur Bhuvah Svah Tat Savitur Varenyam gayatri mantra very expertly in the opening pages... explaining that the sun is the external version of the sun within - inner light and consciousness. I have chanted this mantra for years, but in the context of his explanation I suddenly understood it on a whole different level. I believe that opened the door to enlightenment in me towards understanding, no not " understanding " , but REALIZING, that the " planets " outside ourself are within ourselves, and " as above so below " , and that the planets in the horoscope do NOT affect us at all!!! THEY ARE US. My deep and sincere thanks to you and the author and all your mentors for providing this realization Yours, Vic DiCara / Vraja Kishor http://www.vedicastrologer.net

Guest guest
Dear Wendy Ji and Vic d cara ji, Planets outside are also with in us.The planets do not reall affect us(in real life) at all and they are Us. These expressions are truely in the spirit of the Vedic Science and generally termed as Astrology. The wish and attempt of great gurus is to make understand and bring realisation through basic elements of Dharma,Ardha,Kama and Moksha involved in the Human Cycle, say 120 years even less or more with our Karmas shadowing us.The light therfore outside side coming through the Sun and the light with in us focussed through Brahaman/Atman need also to be felt and realised.Even this needs some effort along with a kanksha(deisre) to pursue and follow regards vrkrishnan --- On Thu, 7/24/08, Wendy Vasicek <jyotishvidya wrote: Wendy Vasicek <jyotishvidya Re: Starting to Understand WHY Astrology Works jyotish-vidya Thursday, July 24, 2008, 9:25 PM Dear Vic, ///I believe that opened the door to enlightenment in me towards understanding, no not " understanding " , but REALIZING, that the " planets " outside ourself are within ourselves, and " as above so below " , and that the planets in the horoscope do NOT affect us at all!!! Guest guest
Dear Vic, I had a similar realisation while reciting Aditya hridayam a few months ago. As you would be knowing sun god's chariot is harnessed by seven horses. I was meditating on that picture and in one moment, I realised that the horses indeed represents the 7 energy centers in our body & Sun is the eternal soul/atman. From that time I too learnt that there are two suns, one that lits the external and one that lits the internal. Because of my interest to know more, I read on the major chakras of the body and got this knowledge that each center is ruled by one planet. So the weakness of one planet in the natal chart indicates one's areas of weakness. Personally, I believe that all mantras have some hidden clues & once one learns it, he learns to overcome the particular area of weakness. IMO, this is the only reason why the path to eternal happiness/ satchidananda is through self-realization. Guest guest
Namaskar Manasa ji. It is realy great to know your experiences. It makes my belief much more stronger.I am realy amazed to know that every planet represent a chakra within our body. Can you please relate each planet to respective chakras ? and if you have some reference over the internet for the same, I would be more than happy to read through.
