Lunar eclipse the asterisms will be uttarashadha and uttara. Guest guest Posted July 29, 2008 Report Share Posted July 29, 2008 Dear Krishnan, I was reading your report with great interest, specially the last portion, I do not know if you are aware that today an earth quake hit the Los Angeles California area, I believe was a 5.4 in the Ritcher scale. Usually takes a couple of days, or more of seismic activity after the first shock. So what I can see is a time window of three day before and after the eclipse that may contribute to the quake, and as we approach to the zenith of the eclipse, I hope that one of the aftershocks wont be stronger than the one that hit LA today. As mentioned before (on group) I had focused on a Sagittarius lagna for US chart, based on extensive research on the signing of the declaration of independence. The time of 17:55 was close enough to confirm many past and current events. However the recent earthquake in LA demanded another look at the time. By adjusting this to 17:57:30 it's found that pratyantar dasa of Ketu commenced on 28th Jul. The (moderate) quake struck at 11:40am on Tuesday. Pratyantar lord Ketu, along with Mercury, Venus and Sun are transiting 8th house of accidents, upheavals, calamities and so forth. I suspect the reason the quake was not more severe was due to the fact that Ketu is still at the beginning of his pratyantar period (in his own sookshmantar). It's said that the potential of (any) planet's period are not fully realised until he's completed his own sub-period...?? Ketu, as we know, signifies sudden (unexpected) events, hectic situations, accidental incidents, uncontrollable mass of energy and so forth. For years now, whenever I hear of an earthquake anywhere in the world, I check the horoscopes and have found Ketu to be a strong factor.
