At this time the Sun and moon are exactly on the same degree and minute (15:33, cancer) while they are also in close proximity to Ketu. This proximity of the unified sun and moon to Ketu is what causes the eclipse. In a position far from Ketu or Rahu, it is just an ordinary new moon. I would bet that the worst type of eclipse would occur when the Sun/ Moon union is exactly on the degree of Ketu. In this case it is about 9 degrees away from the exact position of Ketu. So, what are the astrological implications? Just interpret normally as Sun and Moon being ruined in Cancer by Ketu?
