Guest guest
Vic ji, ///For a Leo lagna Venus owns the 10th and 3rd Houses (right? i'm tired). As such her presence in the 1st Indicats that the person is highly career oriented and may have a strong connection to younger sibling(s) and that they likely have strong will to live and are somewhat adventurous./// This is very appropriately written--also, since the third is the house of initiative, the native could take a lot of effort to further his career. However, one danger is that Sukra becomes malefic because of ownership of a kendra and a trishadya. Also, Moolatrikona falls in trishadya, so is not the danger heightened? Also, the 3rd rules kama, and desire could push the native to do strange things to propel his career... ~~~~~~~~~ Balaji Narasimhan Author & Editor http://www.balaji.ind.in/ ~~~~~~~~~
Guest guest
Dear Balaji, (With a name like Balaji I suddenly find myself remembering Annakut!) Yor mention that Sukra " becomes a malefic " . I know that is widely accepted language. But I propose a change. I shall stop using the terms " functional benefic " or " functional malefic " or any permutation like " becoming a malefic " because I feel it is counter-intuitive and ruins a clear understanding. In the case of Leo, Venus is a benefic (period). Since she owns the 3rd house with her root (Mooltr.) there, she can do strange things as well - but this is NOT her acting as venus, but acting as the 3rd House lord. It's merely a change in semantics, but I believe it will go a long way to clearing up a lot of misunderstanding and cloudy thinking in the current culture of jyotish. I like what you have written. The 3rd House has some darkness to it because it is connected with such primal forces (the very will to live). If there is a fault in the 3rd House it becomes glaring and quite problematic because it causes a fundamental fault in the person's will and daily inspiration. ~ Vic DiCara www.vicdicara.com www.vedicastrologer.net On Nov 11, 2008, at 12:25 AM, Balaji Narasimhan wrote: > Vic ji, > > ///For a Leo lagna Venus owns the 10th and 3rd Houses (right? i'm > tired).
