From one of the posts I have read that Mars is in the 12th house in Leo. That would make the ascendant to be Virgo. What are the dasas running? Right now Saturn is transiting natal Mars and it is being aspected by an Ucha Mars(in transit) from the fifth house. Incendiary combinations are of course present. Then, the eclipse of the Sun also took place in Capricorn when Sun was at 13 degrees. I am not sure but was this eclipse visible in Australia? Rahu as well as Jupiter are both at 14 degrees at present. This is extremely close to the eclipse point of Sun. Natural disasters are clearly visible. But why Australia? Understandably businesses are reluctant to invest in these remote areas. Government does a great deal to assist but they don't run businesses (which provide employment) either in mainstream society or in remote areas. I have an aborigine family living next door to me, and, believe me, they have exactly the same opportunities as I have. I can bring to mind many aborigines who have done well in mainstream society. Evonne Goolagong (an aborigine) was one of the most successful female tennis players Australia ever produced, winning all four Grand Slams. And who doesn't know of Cathy Freeman, Lional Rose, Ernie Dingo etc, etc.. I cannot see how Venus can cause such devastation. It is most probably the dasa sandhi coupled with the transits of malefic planets over the eclipse point. Also the inluence of transit Mars over transit Saturn. It is to be noted that Saturn is also transiting the natal Mars. had Jupiter been aspecting Saturn the results could have been modified. SE part of the respective countries, regions. And ofcourse , it is said that Rahu/ Ketu take on the influeces of their dipositors. Also 'Kujavad Ketu'. Air travels BTW are seen from 9th, if I'm not mistaken. Interesting that (US chart) P/D lord Venus is transiting 8th from 9th which is currently occupied by Tr. Saturn. I'm sure you all can see much more than this in the current dasas/transits...
