Guest guest
Dear Friends, I just noticed that on the exact day of the eclipse (July 22, 2009), Venus (even though in his own house) will be conjuct Mars (within a 11 degree orb) and aspected by Saturn at almost the exact degree from Leo. Further Saturn's dispositor being Eclipsed, this can be a tough time for Venus? The only saving grace is a very weak Jupiter holding back Shani by aspecting him from Shani's own house and Mooltrikona sign. Unfortunately Jupiter is also eighth house from the Moon. Guest guest
Dear Sir, In Astrology, Sun is known as King and Moon is known as queen, being royal planets, their affliction reflects in the affairs of the State (in mundane astrology). The ruler of the State gets affected. Those who are in power feel the effect of the eclipse. In fact Osho supports the essence of astrology, but not the way the society approaches the astrology. He is of the view that astrology is essentially meant for spiritual attainment and not the way the ordinary man and the ordinary astrologers connecting Moon and Sun to employment of a person and the marriage of a girl. I quote from his writings, Astrology: The Science of Cosmic Oneness, by Osho in Hidden Mysteries, Chapter 5 Quote: " The sun is not a static ball of fire as we ordinarily think, but rather an infinitely alive and dynamic, fiery organism. The sun changes its mood every moment. And when the sun changes its mood even a little, life on Earth is affected. Nothing happens on the Earth without something happening on the sun. When there is a solar eclipse, the birds in the forest stop singing twenty-four hours before. During the entire time of the eclipse the whole Earth becomes silent. The birds stop their singing and all of the animals in the forest become oppressed and frightened, full of apprehension. The monkeys abandon their trees and come down below. They form themselves into groups, apparently as a means of protection. And it is a surprising thing that these monkeys, who are always gossiping and making a hue and cry, become so quiet at the time of the eclipse that even meditators cannot compare with them. " Unquote: End of Chapter 6, Osho writes: Quote: I have told you some things about astrology, if you understand these things, and then astrology can become a door to spiritual attainment. Guest guest
Dear Ravindramani, Yes, as we've said many times on this list, Jyotish can be a step towards self-realisation..this is it's ultimate purpose, I believe :-) In light of my recent experience with thieves I'd like to quote a passage from scripture if I may... Matthew 6: 19-21 *6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.* No doubt a woman's purse is filled with many (perceived) treasures. It's worthwhile therefore, in such situations, to focus once again on where our true treasures lie :-) Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com ___ - " ravindramani " <ravindramani <jyotish-vidya > Saturday, July 04, 2009 2:31 PM Re: Venus affliction on Eclipse eve Dear Sir, In Astrology, Sun is known as King and Moon is known as queen, being royal planets, their affliction reflects in the affairs of the State (in mundane astrology).
