I have however done a quick search on the internet and found mention of this in Ch.12 - 72 (I think)...too time consuming to scroll through again to make sure. If I remember correctly it said something like Venus gives diseases such as leucoderma etc.. It does also attribute " skin disease " to Mercury in a previous sloka. I too have to contest the notion that Venus is responsible for leucoderma. Perhaps the author's reasoning is due to the fact that leucoderma is somewhat detrimental to one's appearance (beauty) hence the connection to Venus, the planet of beauty? I really don't know; And, not having the book to read through, it's difficult to assess the authors line of thinking or the context in which it's written. As I said earlier I do suffer from some chronic illness attributed (without doubt) to combust Venus badly afflicted in 8th and aspected by Saturn and Mars. Not only have I never suffered from any skin disease per se, I would go so far as to say that (for my age) I have exceptionally good skin. I contested that and mentioned that Mercury should be looked at first. Then, I started collecting more data points to study the same. Guest guest Posted September 1, 2009 Report Share Posted September 1, 2009 Pujay shri and respected members, When I was about both my palm had lots of skin and white spots plus lots of itching all the time - it was impossible for e to have my food with hand At that time doctors suggested to apply Phenol on both hands and was and bath as it was spreading to the other parts of body. it took more than 4/5 months to disappear for a long period than it started by the side of private parts = doctor said it can happen because of perspiration. Again bath treatment - plus Sarsaparilla [ Ayurvedic medicine] which had to be continue for a long time and it helped. than it came back after a long period and same treatment, it goes and comes back every time they suggest different treatments Now a days it on both legs - plus small spots on face - couple of years ago it was on face so could not save for more than a year - Some time they give Atrax - but now a days it is not available so they give a cream which has Paraffin as main indgrident - lots of itching starts even in middle of night - u have to apply cream straightaway otherwise bleeding starts and causes lots of problems. I told them that we could consider it only as a secondary issue and unless Mercury is afflicted/weak, affliction to just Venus will not cause leucoderma. Guest guest Posted September 2, 2009 Report Share Posted September 2, 2009 Pujay shri and respected members Wendiji, There is only one doctor who had said that it is eczema - otherwise no one has said anything they always say it allergic only - but Palm had started when I was 11 yr old. most of the time it comes and goes again - even now a days same thing is happening - Presently there are other problems as well - Joint pain left Knee is causing lot of pain - some time unable to walk - Apart from that since last two days - lots of burning in chest and mouth goes dry - pain full headache - but minute I take glass of water slowly - every thing disappears - Can not understand the reason - body warms up also. Yesterday doctor visited me at home - all they prescribe is Codic Phosphate - or paracetamol. Tomorrow I have to go to surgery and ask them what is really wrong I presume they will do some test. Ask your doctor to test for Sjogren Syndrome and Scleroderma. you can Google them or other internet research. Either one of these might be contributing to your discomfort. both effect the skin plus more.
