Question about Marana karaka Sthana

Respected Gurujis,I had a question about Marana Karaka Sthana of planets.If I am not mistaken,the following are the MKS of various planets:Sun:12th houseMoon: 8th huseMars/Mercury: 7th houseGuru: 3rd HouseShukra:6th houseShani: LagnaRahu: 9th houseMy question is what happens when the planet is in his own house/exhalted/moolatrikona? particularly about Shani in lagna in kumbha?Also are there any remedies for MKS planets? Dear Vani,

 

If I am not mistaken, Marana Karaka Sthana falls under a Jaimini principal of

calculation set by Varahamihira. Where as this forum studies Parasara

principals and techniques.

 

But to answer you question off the cuff. Even though the MKS planets are death

inducing in houses per Jaimini, I believe these positions need to be influenced

by other other planets to do harm. By themselves they may case difficulty but

not death.

 

Regardng Parasara, we don't use the MKS rather we use a death inflicting degree

of a planet in a rasi. It is called Mrityubhaga.

For instances, I have Mercury 8* in Leo. It happens to be my 12th hse Dusthana.

I can assure you I am very much a live at 58yrs, however, Venus and Ketu are

placed there too, AND Mercury Lord of ASC Virgo 2* and Saturn 5* there in lst

hse with Saturn's Nakshatra Lord Sun in 11th hse Cancer has caused a lot of

health issues and other difficulties. I may not live to be 85yrs old but I

certainly have lived so far well into the moderate ages of 108yrs of longevity.

 

I think the question too you are raising is, is there any negative repercussions

to a planet being in its Own house. Yes there can be,

no matter what system one is using. It all depends on the house and aspects and

nakshatra rulers along with where the planet is ruler in the chart. Moolatrikona

and Exalted are stronger for the planet no matter what system, but again to what

effect based on its hse position, ruler, nakshatra ruler, and aspects.

 

 

If using MKS, ASC 2* and Saturn 5*in Virgo my lst house, this would surely have

me dead just by reading the description of Saturn as a death position in lst

hse. And, to complicate it, its Nakshatra ruler is Sun in my 11th house of

Cancer where there is a mutual relationship of Sun's Nakshatra lord being

Saturn. But again, I am alive even with a Mars and Jupiter aspect on my lst

house with Saturn there.

 

Transit Saturn just left Kumbha Sept 9th after 2.5yrs there and went to Virgo.

I know of those who have Saturn in Leo and I have found that Moon in Leo with a

Saturn transit is often compormized with depression more so than not. Rather,

Saturn's behavior whether positive or negative in any sign will depend on its

hse and aspects to it and its Nakshatra Lord.

 

I would think remedies for MKS planets would be the same for any difficult

planet placed no matter what system. The mantras can be very effective in their

meditative spiritual uplifting of prayer and worship. Humbling ones soul.

 

Other members may be able to answer your specific questions more precisely and

accurately.

Dear Suresh,

 

Budha has also forth bhava as Marana-karaka-sthana.

 

Ketu is said to have forth house as maranakarakasthana. Earlier it was

mentioned - second bhava also.

 

When the planet is in Maranakarakasthana then one has terrible

experience related to the houses the planet lords. The term death-like

experience is helping to understand the effect,

this positions make people cry. By the uccha avastha (exaltation state)

after some time the native sees a lot of improvement so it forms a

blessing in the chart.

 

Remedy for the Rasi Marana-karaka-sthana is pratyadi deva worship, so

for Budha/Shani it would be Sri Narayana.

 

If Surya is in tri-kona to Lagna then there is less suffering from

Shani in Lagna, so take the bhava-karaka of house and see if its in

trikona to Lagna.

 

You can also see if planets in third or fifth from planet in

marana-karaka-sthana in vara-chakra are well placed, that will be also

rescue for that situation.

 

 

 

In that chart Budha, Mangal and Moor are suffering from above dosha.

Budha afflicts Mithuna when in forth house and normally the young age

of these people are not easy. Fortunately Budha attains strong avastha

being in Kanya and with time all the aspects of Lagna will improve.

Here Moon is the Bhava-karaka and is not in trikona to Lagna and Shukra

the rescue graha is in heavy curse - so native will definitely suffer

the lagna-challenges giving a lot of personal problems.

 

Mangal is in seventh house and the karaka is Shukra, whilst the

rescue-graha is Guru. Guru is also in curse being helpless but Shukra

is placed in trikona to Lagna, therefore the battles (sixth) and

financial challenges (eleventh) were there but will be overcome when it

comes to that aspect of affliction.

 

Moon in eight has Shani in trikona to Lagna which again helps, rescue

graha is Budha which is also well-placed, so the second bhava issues

like in-law problems (Moon is in seventh from second) and finances

coming from skills (second bhava is in tenth from Guru) will improve

due to blessings of Shani and Budha. Shani is ninth lord which shows

help coming from Traditional (Sa) Guru (9L) whilst Budha shows writing.
