Guest guest
Apologies--Here is the right link http://www.jyotishvidya.com/karma.htm _________________________________ Mrs. Wendy Tuesday, 29 December 2009 10:55 PM jyotish-vidya Understanding Ego Dear Group, There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding in regards to Ego. As Krishna has said, everything under the Sun gets an identity or 'ego'... The sages tell us that Sun is the 'Soul' of all living beings. However Soul, the silent witness behind our thoughts, is not something that we're consciously aware of unless we've achieved 'moksha' (Self-realization). What we identify with is the I AM of the 'ego')... I AM sad, I AM lonely, I AM in need etc.. Soul is devoid of any desires or need; is not sad or lonely...it's complete, it's oneness, wholeness etc.. This is the difference between Soul and ego. I don't know if anyone's visited the page "The Process of Karma" http://www.jyotishvidya.com/index.htm but I do recommend having a look for a better understanding of the difference between Soul and ego. Guest guest
Wendy ji, Wish you and everybody on the group a very happy new year! :-) I visited the page on Chandas, etc and think I have seen it before. Interesting to note that Budha rules buddhi (intellect) and Chandra rules chandas (mind). I'm sure that the words for mind and intellect have come from the grahas themselves! One example used is of two birds on a branch, with one eating and the other not doing anything. The bird eating is the Jivatma and the bird that is watching is the Paramatma. ~~~~~~~~~ Balaji Narasimhan Author & Editor http://www.balaji.ind.in/ ~~~~~~~~~
