As we know, lagna shows our innate (or basic) nature...whether a person is

innately shy and reserved, or confident and outgoing is seen from this

house...in other words our psychological makeup (or temperament). Our sense of

self-worth etc are all judged from this house, as is our status in society

(social level) etc..

 

4th, being 8th from 9th, shows the ultimate result of education i.e; whether or

not one is able to obtain a degree (at the end of his studies) is seen from this

house. One may be as outgoing and confident as he likes but if 4th house and/or

karaka (Moon) are unfavorable there will surely be difficulties in obtaining a

degree (diploma, certificate etc).

 

As we know, the emotional heart is seen from this house and as such is closely

linked to our happiness and contentment...our emotional and mental stability.

This house also shows our faith and our capacity for devotion...Faith (in all

things) also implies the confidence and belief (the faith) in the implementation

of the knowledge we've gained...

 

I won't go into the other significations of this house as I'm sure everyone is

familiar with them i.e; mother, close relatives, close friends, home, home

comforts, home country, vehicles etc, etc..

We always try to find correct lagna/1st house to know/find any bodys failure or

success in life.The person having a strong 1st house has confidence to deall all

his affairs,necessary to him.very competently.Then goes on to put efforts to

gain knowldge and also apply his knowledge.

1st house certainly provides a native " confidence " .This in any case for a moment

is a selfi confidence.

Where as application of knowledge and the confidence he gains too is also part

of 1st house.However as the old age goes " practice make a man perfect " is true in

every aspect.The 3rd and 8th houses have a role in application of knowledgeand

practise(smriti and sruti)

You have also mentioned elese where 6th is routine work,8th is intution and 9 th

is vedic knowledge.

All these significances depenedent on 1st house,for showing interest to

learn,practise to gain confidence and enrich/gain out of knowldege.

The role and significance of each house is very important and they all together

reflect of 1st house.

That is how Astrology is very comprehensive in dealing with human affairs.
