Guest guest
Wendy ji, ///I think the main problem with this one is the hard drive is bulging at the seams (not enough disk space to function properly).../// When you get the new system, partition it and don't put too much stuff on the main drive (C: on most systems). Instead, put data on drives like D: because the Windows Swap file (virtual memory) resides on C: and if this drive becomes slow, the system crawls. Also, get a good antivirus--I have been using the free Avast! antivirus (free for home use) for a few years and it is excellent. ~~~~~~~~~ Balaji Narasimhan Author & Editor http://www.balaji.ind.in/ ~~~~~~~~~ Your Mail works best with the New Optimized IE8. Guest guest
Dear Balaji, Gopi, Nilesh and All, Yes, indeed, it's a huge hard drive (if that's what you call it?) and I'm sure I'll never use it all. Andrew (my son) put all the money into the computer and monitor but had very little left for the keyboard and mouse...had to get the very cheapest and boy! it is cheap and nasty...looks okay, but a nightmare to use...very unstable! I've ordered another one which should be here sometime this week. I've changed my email from Windows Live to Microsoft Outlook and have lost all my mail (and contacts) in the process...hence I'm responding to your post from the web. PS: Still waiting for PL7 to be activated so cannot look at any charts at the moment. Transit Jupiter, in retrograde motion, is also combust. I must also tell you (later) of another manifestation of this Ketu P/D that happened a week or so ago...very strange it was! Guest guest
Dear Balaji, Without doubt Jupiter can be combust whilst in retrograde motion. Please see the note in BPHS Ch7. 28-29: http://jyotishvidya.com/ch7.htm Yes certainly, Mercury is a significator for computer skills as part of his portfolio is writing. However 3rd lord also needs to be considered...and not forgetting, of course, karaka for 3rd (Mars).
