Guest guest
Dear Krishna and All, As we Know, Ayurveda is based upon the three doshas (vata, pitta, kapha); and this, although (sadly) ignored by most astrologers, is very much a part of Vedic astrology. In BPHS we find the classification of the signs and the grahas according to their humour (dosha). In Ch.4 5 -5 1/2 it's stated; *Aries, Leo and Sagittarius are bilious. Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn are windy. Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius are mixed while the rest are phlegmatic.* bilious = pitta windy = vata mixed = tridosha phlegmatic = kapha http://jyotishvidya.com/ch4.htm#5_5_12__classification_of_signs The point is that the basic building blocks (doshas) are an essential part of jyotish... I believe that a basic understanding of ayurveda is as essential to our studies as the basics of the grahas/bhavas. Modern medicine may vary greatly to the ayurvedic view but, as astrologers, we should at least be aware of the connection between jyotish and ayurveda. Guest guest
Dear Mrs Wendy The quote identifies the Fire/dharma quality to be of pitta humor. This rashis 1,5,9 are pitta. Earth/artha quality is vata: rashis 2,6,10. Water/moksha is kapha: 4,8,12. While air/Kama is tridosha: 3,7,11.
