Guest guest
Dear Narasimha ji I feel there is a secret underlying the astronomical positions mentioned by Valmiki. This may come up when Lords Grace is on us. Why an elapse of 12 months was there is an intersting question.(Here the solar phenomenon has a role). We will come to this later. Now if we forget about the inner symbolisms and just try to map the positions as given by Valmiki - Dwadashe mase has a clue is my feeling. As per Malayalam calendar, the name of the month points to the rashi in which Sun is present. Thus Dwadashe mase can also mean the 12th month ,which is Meena - taking Medam as the first month. If that is so ,In Lord Ramas chart Sun is in Meena or Pisces. Chaitre is mentioned so that the full Moon position of Moon w.r to nakshathras are also considered. I can be wrong.
