Guest guest
Namaste friends, I keep getting calls from people who receive horoscope printout from some commercial astrologers and find my name, address and phone number on the top of the printout! You are supposed to put your own name and address on your printouts and not mine. My name and address appears by default, to give you an idea of how to accommodate various details in the box that appears on the top of the printout. You can change the details by clicking the main menu item " Preferences " , then " Related to display " and then " Astrologer's name and address (for printouts) " . In the dialog box that comes up, please replace my details with yours. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE MY DETAILS THERE WHEN GIVING A HOROSCOPE PRINTOUT TO SOMEONE. I get a lot of emails and phone calls for astrological help and have very very limited time to do that. To make matters worse, I get queries about readings I supposedly gave (the person assumes so seeing my name on the printout) and I have no clue. I just got off the phone with an upset lady who wanted clarification on some term that was jotted on her horoscope printout and I had no idea what that term means. Though I suggested that she should contact the astrologer who gave that printout, she insisted quite strongly that I should answer as my name was on it. I got the sense that somebody charged her a good amount of money and she was trying to get her money's worth. If you can honor my humble request and save me from this kind of situations, I will greatly appreciate it. Guest guest
Dear Sir, As a first measure (to preempt the new downloaders) please give a declaration in the new version stating that you're only a developer of the software and no way responsible for any of the predictions made with the use of the software as it's done by the Astrologer who uses the software for calculations/predictions. For the people who're already using the earlier versions, request them to down load the fresh software(with the declaration). Guest guest
Hi Narasimha, Actually, many would not be aware how to remove your name. In fact, it took some time and some exploring for me to do that. In fact, for few months, it never occurred to me that I should remove your name. I thought, 'why to remove? After all, it is Narasimha who has done the SW so pains painstakingly " I don't think it is very difficult to create one more small field which prints " This software has been brought to you by: " giving either your details of you or those SJC(which will ensure good advertisement for the center), with a provision to choose for the local centre's address. This field can also display the websites of the sjc. The other field will be blank or will instruct " Astrologer, please write your name and contact details to be displayed in the print outs " This is only a suggestion, best, kishore patnaik On Thu, Feb 14, 2008 at 7:20 AM, Narasimha P.V.R. Guest guest
Namaste Sri Narasimha It would be nice if you can hard code a message in the print out stating " This is a free software and no charges should be taken for the printout from the client " . This would deter such people who are charging their clients for printouts. After all the whole idea was not to make Jhora commercial. Just my opinion.
