Transit Saturn over Natal Sun or aspecting Natal Sun

Dear Sri Bhaskar,

This is very important observation. I changed the subject title

suitably so that people do not mistake this analysis as related to

the earlier conflict between members.

I am stating here my observations in some relevant charts.

When Saturn transits over natal Sun or aspects natal Sun, it brings

difficulty to the native's father, or if the longevity is over, it

causes the death of father too. More so, when Saturn is retrograde.

Here Sun represents father. [this is just what has happened to me

recently]. Based on my own chart, I predicted my father's death to

my elder brother, to happen before Saturn goes direct; I just didn't

want to go deeper into it as it was in my own family. Jupiter aspect

on Saturn didn't help here.

Another kind of result - When Saturn aspects natal Sun or Saturn is

over the natal Sun, one gets a royal upliftment in career - here Sun

represents royalty in career.

But how to judge which one of the above will happen, or whether both

will happen? It all depends on the running Maha dasa and Antardasa

during such transit of Saturn.

Sri KN Rao was very clear in his opinion that 'transits results are

applicable only when the maha dasa and antar dasa indicate such an

event'. I am sure you must be aware of these principles very much

with your vast experience. I am just narrating my observations.

yes i must say ur observation when we take the planet sat with only

sun is correct .But in trnasit we must see frm various points and

lkarakas and how its interacting with a purticular chart which i dont

want to discuss further here as it will amnt to another free feeding to

some one whom i said .

what if sun is with another planets ,what if so many other karakas also

participating

then dasa -antara , puricular d- charts strnght and ASV and other total

promise in chart etc will play .

Dear Shri satya saiji,

I had read this principle about 6 years back,

and then forgotten, and then suddenly remembered

when my father got admitted to the Hospital for

emergency operation, and the Doctor gave a 10%

chance to live,to him. He stayed in ICU for 3

months and finally survived. But my fathers

elder brother suffering from throat Cancer breathed

his last, when my Father was in ICU. I could only

go for 10 minutes to see him off, because I had

to stay in the night in the Hospital. Next

morning when I got a break for few hours and

visited my Home,I opened the books, re-read the

principle,

and There was Saturn crossing the Natal degrees,

exactly the same degrees in Gemini,

as was my Sun.This is the power of Nadi astrology.

I was running a Mahadasha of Mars in 12th.

Dear Sri Bhaskar,

Thanks for the feedback. You said you were running maha dasa of Mars

in the 12th house - see, Mars is 9th lord for you, in the 12th house

of hospitalization. See how the dasa indicates the event, and the

transit Sani caused the event.

That is how exactly we have to look into it. Couple of days ago, i

was re-reading one of Sri KN Rao's books, where he wrote that

'the key to timing an event is to synchronize the pratyantardasa

with the transits'. I take this as a baseline rule to time an event.

It works for me always.

In my understanding, it is exactly the opposite that will happen. When

Saturn (transit) aspects natal Sun

1. Problem in career (amplified if dasa/bhukti is weak)

2. Bad reviews, superiors will be unhappy

3. Delays in promotion

4. Termination or change of career (if Sun is tenth lord, even worse)

I doubt if one gets an upliftment in career (check old messages with KN

Rao ji or Chandrasekasji had a comment on Saturn aspecting natal Sun).

May be you can clarify please.

Namaste Mr. M. Sharma ji & Mr. Satya ji

Kindly permit me to enter this thread and share my exprience.

1) Possibly yourself & Satyaji both are right. The variation may be

the mutual placment of Saturn & Sun.

2) If Sun in well placed in natal chart and Saturn transits over it,

the points made by Satya ji could be correct

3) If Sun is NOT so well placed or just ok, then Saturn transits over

it, then the points mentioned by you are possible

4) I have four recent cases of

a) Male, Sun in Leo in 9H, aspected by Saturn{R} from 3H in a

Sagittarius Lagna, where father's health has been quite good infact he

had a stroke few years back, for excess calcium blocking the artery....

{all medical reasons..}, he had been taking some medicine to dissolve

calcium .... now almost declared - medicine NOT required. Career also

got uplifted with monetary gains.

b) Male, Same as above, but Sun & Saturn are in mutual exchange of

house. Father retired, doing quite well, healthy, no known medical

ailments, had a change of job & good raise in USA. Gemini Lagna.

c) Female, Scorpio Lagna, exalted Sun & Saturn{R}. Housewife, with

serious hobbies & extensive social worker. Father is aged.....touching

90 yrs., underwent cataract operation.....otherwise not much on health.

d) Female, Sagittarius Lagna, debilitated Saturn, Sun in Leo, Moon in

Cancer has been financially doing well in the very recent past and her

career is on upward curve. She ventured into a small business a year

back {Orthopaedic Surgeon - business related to her profession},

currently doing well for past One Year.

The common point that I have noticed is that in the Saturn's SAV, less

bindus in the house/sign of transits, could be one important point.

Dear Sunil,

I would like to share my experience with this transit.

When Saturn transited exactly over my Natal Sun (Aug. 1979), I passed my 9th

Sem BE exam securing 1st Rank for Bangalore University.

I have Sun well placed in Lagna (Leo). However, Sun is deb in Navamsha. Saturn

is placed in Scorpio (4th).

with gochara Shani lord of lagna and second bhava who is exalted in

that bhava. Another combination for job prosperity in my thinking.

Dear Sunilji,

Hare Rama Krishna.

I had sen these postsin the afternoon too,

but was occupied so could not reply to you.

I am so happy that You are on the right track

unlike a few over here, and able to catch the

nerve of the crux.

A person has age for everything.

Jup MD - Sat AD -for instance may give some

young man a marriage.

But will Sat MD - and Jup Ad again give him

a marriage ? No.

Because marriage is for once only.

Elder has to die once only.

Native has to have accident once only.

Native has to fall seriously ill once only.

This is what happens normally (Exceptions

we must forget).

In same way it is not necessary that every

round of Saturn on Sun will give a death in

the family, and one has to apply

the rules given in the books without

commmon sense. If the rules were so easily

applied then anybody knowing the language

( Hindi,English,Tamil,Sanskrit,telugu )

of the book, and reading it would become

an astrologer.

One must see the age too of the native,

the fathers age, the round number of Saturn,

and the Dasha running, and then decide.

Add to this the other additional helpful

factors of Ashtakvarga and one can

precisely come to a conclusion , what is

'going to happen.

The second round is more important

then the first round, because by that time

the Father of the Native age is round about,

above 50, so one can think of some calamity.

And every night has a day to follow.

Every sadness is experienced only when

one is happy. How can one mix sadness in sadness ?

Unless one has seen joy how can one know sorrow ?

Unless one has seen yogetherness(Milna), how

can he understand the pain of parting (Bichadna) ?

A small story -

A young prince of age 40 was having a burning

desire to ascend the throne, but The King

his Father was not readyto leave the throne.

And this prince was lamenting on this aspect

throughout.

Suddenly one day the Minister woke him up

early at 4.00am which was not the normal

time to wake. The prince was preturbed

and asked the Minister why did he wake him up ?

The Minister replied that You haveto

ascend the throne, and the

coronation has to be held immediately.

The Prince was overjoyed on hearing this.

But he felt something amiss. On repeated

asking the Minister, the minister

replied sadly that " The King,Your'father

has just passed away " .

now this is how the planets work.

No Planet is bad or good.

They are equally good or bad.

It is how we see theplanet

working for us and sense its effects.

I hope the readers would understand that the

Saturn at times may also trigger off some good

effect along with a evil one, while transitting

the Sun, or sometimes no bad effect at all,

depending on its round ( 1st or 2nd or 3rd )

depending on the above mentioned factors,

'and one should use discretion, common sense

and also astrological knowledge and experience to

judge what would actually happen.

I can give a small case from my life related to topic.

My birthdata: 13/04/1980, Ukraine, Kharkov, 50n00,

36e15, 19:04 GMT+3, lagna is Kanya

In the April 2006 I changed my job to definitely

better one, in beginning novemeber 2006 I moved to

work in another city, to the different office of the

same company.

That time Shani was in Karka, making aspect to the

natal Surya in Mesha. However I've got to know about

my coming migration to another city some before in end

of September 2006. Before, as I remember, I started

to look for a new job in the beginning of 2006.

Note that in my chart there are retro natal Shani and

debilitated lagna lord Buddha, which is also 10th

lord.

Any expanations on this case? Is it anyhow related to

Shani transit?

Dear Sri Sharmaji,

It is quite possible that the results you described might happen.

Everything depends on the several factors we have to consolidate in

predicting the event.

1. The maha dasa and antardasa running

2. The lagna and lagna lord (being friend or enemy to Sun). I am not

giving much importance of Sani being friend or enemy to the lagna or

lagna lord, because Sani anyway triggers events in our life - both

good and bad, even if he is an enemy to the lagna lord.

3. THe specific house where Sun is present (whether it is 3rd or

4th, or 10th etc.) for the lagna - e.g., if it is 10th - it would

more career/karma reltaed, 9th - related to father's health and

propsperity etc., and 3rd related to death of father (since 3rd

house represents death of either parent).

4. The strength of the house where Sun is present, such as shadbala,

or even SAV (Sarva Ashtaka Varga) bindus for that house

5. other factors such as whether the running antardasa is the last

one in that specific maha dasa - in this case, the results are

completely altered and influenced by the next maha dasa due to dasa

chhidra.

My point was that it is completely wrong to consider Saturn as the

trigger of only bad events in life. It has been well proven that

without Saturn's influence no significant event will happen in one's

life; whether it is a good event or bad event. This has been clearly

demonstrated by emininent astrologers like Sri KN Rao.

Yes as u said various factors decide and a rule cannot be used in

verbatim .also the chart as a whole decided the event other wise who

ever has born in those 30 days while sun in a rasi will hav the same

effect ,which can also make astrology very simple too .

The rotation ,the progreesion ,the dasas ,Total indication of promises

( good or bad ) along with Asv can time a event as various posters

mentioned in this grp including u .

Dear Ivan, lord of mahadasha, antardasha and pratyantara dasha is

responsible fot that job, and other things in that period. Saturn is

just one piece in that story.
