JYOTISH is called the eyes of the Vedas. It is one of

the Upvedas. Jyotish is endowed for its rich spiritual

tradition as well as its accuracy in revealing

life & #146;s events. This course will cover the basics

of JYOTISH, its origin and philosophy, Panchang,

Naksatras. Janma and Rashi Charts, the dashas,

and various concepts related to interpretation of a

Rashi Chart and matching of horoscopes etc.

ADVANCED VEDIC ASTROLOGY

the intricacies of Yogas in the horoscope. Dr. Charak

We will learn how to forecast with amazing accuracy

and nature of eclipses influence world events and most

events in your lives if they hit a planet in your

chart.

& #149; Varshphal: Annual Horoscope: Dr. Charak will

teach how to analyze the annual horoscope and its

functioning within the Vimshottari Dasha system

Sunday, April 27th: 9 AM to 4.30 PM Professions in

Vedic Astrology: Dr. Charak will discuss different

traits and tendencies of individuals thru their

horoscopes.

Chart interpretation thru Yogini Dasha: Yogini Dasha

is used as an alternate to Vimshottari dasha to refine

the dates as the whole dasha consists of 36 years

duration as compared to 120 years of Vimshottari.

Advanced Vedic Astrology

Full course (April 24th-29th 2008) : $ 450 per person

Weekend (April 25th-27th 2008) : $ 175 per person

Single Day $95 per person

For couples, only $ 75 as additional tuition for a

weekend course.

LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS

Arsha Vidya Gurukulam, an Institute of Vedanta and

Sanskrit, founded by Swami Dayananda Saraswati and

located in the foothills of the Pocono & #146;s about 90

miles from New York City. For directions and other

airport is at Allentown (Lehigh Valley International

Airport), about 20 miles away. Buses are available

from New York City and from Newark Airport, going to

Stroudsburg or to Easton, about 10-15 miles from the

Gurukulam. Pick-ups can be arranged from these

locations.

FACULTY

Dr. K.S. Charak, MS (Surgery), FRCS, is an eminent

Vedic astrologer and a surgeon by profession. He is a

prolific writer and author of 10 books on Vedic

Astrology. Dr. Charak has been teaching Vedic

Astrology for the last 15 years and presently teaches

classes conducted by Indian Council of Astrological

Sciences in Delhi. Author of some of the best books on

Vedic astrology, his lucid style and scientific

approach to the subject has earned him a special

stature in the world of astrology. His two books on

medical astrology remain the most authentic writings

on the subject. He is the editor of the highly

appreciated astrological journal, Vedic Astrology,

which has completed ten glorious years of its

publication in December 2007.

Yogi Karve is a man with an amazing ability to tell

the horoscope of a person through his intuition alone

without the birth details. He can even rectify the

birth time when it is not known with certainty.

We are very fortunate to have Yogi Karve with us

during the seminar. He will be available for

consultations with prior appointment.

Brendan Feeley is an internationally recognized

author, speaker, teacher and consultant in Jyotish and

Ayurveda. He holds graduate degrees in engineering and

psychology as well as doctorate degrees in naturopathy

and homeopathy. He is a regular teacher of Jyotish,

Ayurveda and Vedic Philosophy in the yoga studios in

the Washington, DC area. He is the President of Sri

Jagannanth Center - USA, an organization dedicated to

the promotion and education of the ancient Vedic

sciences. He is also a faculty member of the American

Council of Vedic Astrologers (ACVA), the American

Naturopathic Medical Association (ANMA), and the

National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA).

Ronnie Gale Dreyer is an internationally known

astrological consultant, lecturer and teacher who is a

practitioner of both Eastern and Western systems.

Ronnie has written many books e.g., Healing Signs: The

Astrological Guide to Wholeness and Well-Being, Vedic

Astrology: A Guide to the Fundamentals of Jyotish, to

name a few. Her books have been translated into

Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Czech, Hungarian, and

Bulgarian. She has contributed to columns, articles

and book reviews for Mountain Astrologer and many

other journals; she is on the faculty of ACVA

(American College of Vedic Astrology), is an

instructor for ACVA Online College and is on the

faculty of SJC (Sri Jagannath Center). Ronnie holds a

Bachelor of Arts in English/Theater Arts.

Nandan Chirmulay taught an introductory course in 1995

at the Gurukulam, and subsequently taught many courses

at Arsha Vidya Gurukulam. Nandan is an Engineering

Consultant to United Nations for past 14 years. He has

studied Astrology in Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan Delhi, and

is considered one of the finest Astrologers in the

Country. Nandan has graduated from IIT Mumbai. The

introduction to Vedic Astrology are available at Arsha
