Guest guest
Folks One of the astrologers who used to write on this forum - had predicted on his webiste that Manmohan Singh would not be the PM again as he visited a hospital (from memory, as I did not save the article). Now either the article is deleted or I am unable to locate it. Please help if somebody can locate it! A similar thing happened earlier when the India vs. Australia cricket series was taking place. The astrologer had predicted that Australia would win the series. After the first test (India won), the article went missing (at least then, not sure if it has resurfaced in archives). Not sure if others notice this kind of selective article deletion, retraction, but certainly it does not convey that this person is truth lover / truth seeker. I do not really care, but had to bring to others attention.. M.Sharma
Guest guest
Sharmaji, I also read this article, and noticed it was missing just recently. However, my opinion on this is as follows. The specific astrologer was explaining patterns and observations as one technique that he couples with asttrology to give predictions. However, just like astrological predictions might fail, pattern based predictions also might fail. The only thing is that the article should not have gone missing - just because failures are there in every science, and astrology is one such science. Astrologers considered well knowledged and experienced also failed in the past, are still failing in our day-to-day observations. Even Sri Narasimha's predictions also failed in US elections, Indian General Elections 2009 and AP State Elections 2009. However, we still respect him for his knowledge; and at least he made bold public predictions for which we appreciate him. Regards, Satya S Kolachina , " M. Guest guest
Satya garu I see your point. But those who preach should be held accountable for their own actions. I think lot of the professional astrologers (not all) treat the website as a marketing tool. They run a business and like any other business, objective is to make money. Predicting US Presidential elections is a 50/50 chance game like Satish (who writes on this website) says. I can have all the charts for Obama (libra lagna, scorpio lagna, and capricorn lagna); same deal with McCain's chart (Virgo lagna, and Aquarius laga) - can come up with astro jargon and predict a victory. Some people are famous (again websites promoting their own folks) because they predicted Obama's victory using wrong lagna. what an irony. After studying astrology since 1993 - my conclusion is that like any other business - the business of astrlogy is corrupted too , " Satya Sai Kolachina " <skolachi wrote: > > Sharmaji, > > I also read this article, and noticed it was missing just recently. Guest guest
Sharmaji, Agreed fully. One can take inspiration from Shri K.N.Rao who openly admits his failures and such failed articles are still available on his website, even after years. Astrology is a pure academic pursuit for him. Free from any greed, he lives a saintly life and must be appreciated for that, at least. Praveen Kumar On Wed, May 20, 2009 at 10:13 PM, M. Guest guest
Sharma garu, What you said is right. Astrology is business for many people (unfortunately). This has been the frustration expressed by Sri KN Rao time and again. I don't think we have seen as much of corruption as Sri KN Rao himself saw in his lifetime. Regards, Satya S Kolachina , " M.
