Respected Pandit Jee my mother Sushma Gupta, (Bhagvatjee), has

written to you about me, and I am writing to you to thank you for

your recommended upayas. I have started doing them one by one. You

have recommended these four upaya to me:

[ 1 ] Throw , once , into a cemetery or shamshan from out side of the

boundary, on any day around sun set 49 sabut badam { whole almonds

with shell }. The almonds should be thrown over the shoulder with the

back turned to the cemetery. Do not look back after throwing the

almonds. If this upaya is to be done by any blood relation like a

brother or father of her in that case she should touch the almonds

before they are taken out to be thrown. (I have not done this as I

will be meeting my father next week, then he will do on behalf of me.)

[ 2 ] Every Monday , for 13 Mondays regularly, bathe a shiv ling with

milk. After bathing the shivling wrap round it 7 times kalawa { red

pooja thread also known as mouli} (The Shiv Ling, I have requested

somebody to bring it from India. She has reached here yesterday. She

will mail me in a couple of daystime, then I will start it.)

[ 3 ] Every day add a little curds in the water before you take a

bath. (This I have started from April 30)

[ 4 ] Recite this mantra at least 108 times every day: Swayambara

Parvati Mantra. (This also I have started from 8 May)

 

I have a question about the 2nd one. Can I do this even on my

inauspicious days? From what I know is that women do not worship or

go to Shivji's temples during the few days of the month. Please

advise.

 

I also would like to know if you can recommend some upaya for my job

situation. I am a professor and for the last 3-4 years I have been

having a lot of problems at work. I have not had good coworkers and

my students are complaining a lot about me. I feel (and hope) that

my behaviour has not changed my situation for the worse to cause

these problems. I am very dissatisfied with my work environment. I

will appreciate any suggestions or Upaaya you might have.
