Guest guest
Dear Friends: Here is an interesting article on meditation which is a wonderful Vedic remedy that can be extremely beneficial for balancing Saturn, especially! Recently sent on Fairfieldlife. Mark K. Dear Edmond: Wow....what a great story.... These issues that we're all growing through.... are very significant... and we're not meant to sweep them under the rug... and bring them out...deal with them....and resolve them... I remember many years ago, when I heard down the movement, international, from Maharishi pipe line...that we should not study other systems.... I understood the reason for this, but ...I was in a quagmire, because my major in school was Philosophy, of all things! So, I looked inside, and asked my Maharishi sense... and what came back to me was this reply: " you can do this, only you have to be very careful, not to loose your appreciation of the purity of this knowledge. " That experience helped me a lot in my tm career, because I learned to discriminate... to understand... and ultimately to appreciate...all forms...and yet...also Maharishi's uniqueness very deeply. Thanks again for your wonderful story. take care Mark K. edmeasure FairfieldLife Sat, 21 Feb 2004 13:03:29 EST FairfieldLife Re: [FairfieldLife] 2-[FairfieldLife] from Mark K....2/20.....Re: " The Passio... Mark I was so fortunate in there being a Trappist Monk on my TTC. Though usually in silence, the vow was slightly lifted for TTC. We had delightful conversations, but right to the core, quickly. He did mass every day and he did puja more than once a day. I questioned him very empathetically on the relative enjoyment and fulfillment arising out of doing mass and puja. We talked so much about the comparisons of Jesus teachings and TM teachings, and naturally, he was most informative on the details of the Jesus teachings. Though he never did answer such a question directly, it was a phenomena which was deeply troubling to him. One day near the end of course and in front of all TTC attendees, he expressed to Maharishi that he did not know whether he could continue on to become a TM teacher, for he wasn't certain that he could energetically bow down to Guru Dev, being that for the past 25 years his only devotion was to Jesus. The audience was absolutely quiet in suspension as Maharishi scanned back and forth several times, seemingly forever, searching for a reply, which finally came, " You don't think you can love two peoples? " Mat, the trappist monk, broke apart with big smiles and tension releasing laughter. He became a teacher of priests. Mat came into the course camouflaged in civilian clothes with a crew cut hair style. He was quiet and talked to nobody. We speculated that he might have been CIA or military. Finally, at a Halloween party, where everyone put on a very simple costume or mask, this crew cut civilian came masquerading as a fully cloaked monk. He then apologized to the whole assembly, explaining that he had been masquerading in the civilian clothes, and was now in his real attirement, as Maharishi asked for, so as not to have TTC appear to be a religious training class of sorts. A great guy. He remained so attired as a monk for the rest of the course and everyone loved him. jai guru deva, Edmond To , send a message to: FairfieldLife- Or go to: FairfieldLife/ and click 'Join This Group!'
