Dear Friends:

Here's a nice dialogue about seeing, oneness.... in all peoples...

Dear ffia:

I agree with what you're saying. Thought you might like to hear one thing that Maharishi

told us on my teacher training course. He said, " when you go out in the world, don't act superior, because you will meet people who are more highly evolved then you, and who, don't meditate " .

I always loved that expression because I think it helped me not develop a feeling of superiority just because we have been lucky enough to find tm.

Also, remembering that we're supposed to be moving towards the state where we see, the Self, in all beings, is also important, because until we arrive, there, we should not feel so superior, either. We in fact, should aspire to that wonderful state of oneness, always remembering that everyone we meet is just the Self, in disguise!

[FairfieldLife] Re: TMO works for me

First of all, I want to apologize for characterizing my foul-mouthed

co-worker as immature. You are right, who knows where this guy would

be if he hadn't started meditating. I do feel sorry for him because

he is obviously in a lot of pain.

Whenever I hear people arguing the relative superiority of TMers over

non-TMers I am reminded of a line I read many years ago in the

opening paragraphs of Annie Dillard's book Pilgrim at Tinker Creek --

" Seems like we're just set down here and don't nobody know why. "

These words struck a chord in me because they reminded me of how I

felt before I was fortunate enough to learn TM.

The bottom line for me is that we are ALL in this together -- and all

of us, whether we are consciously aware of it or not are looking for

God (or Enlightment or Peace or whatever name you want to give it).

And since we're all on the path, in one way or another, I personally

don't see that any one of us is somehow better than the other.

From www.heavenletters.org:

God said:

" Everyone you meet, everyone you know, is looking for Me. Everyone

who contacts you is hoping to locate Me through you. They may not

know this, but now you know this. This is across the board. There are

no exceptions.... All Humans who cross your path, or you cross

theirs, regardless of their demeanor, are searching for Me through

you, hoping above hope that you are the one to deliver the key to

their hearts. All Human souls are asking to be delivered to Me or I

delivered to them. All their wandering is their search for Me. Be it

in bar or church, the search is on. "

P.S. to Frank3373: George Bush (Sr.) was vice president under Reagan.

Al Gore was Clinton's VP. I did not have to look this up. :-)
