Hi..

I wonder if one or two of you on this list who really like Komilla's book

on the nodes could type a quote or two from the book on this

list--something that you really feel she hit just right? Does she keep the

mansions in the sidereal zodiac or use them with the Tropical signs?

I'm asking because I have another one of her books--Barnes & Noble was

selling it for $5 when it was originally $25. I wish I'd bought the whole

stack of them to give to people.

This book has lots of lovely color illustarations, but Komilla combines

the nakshatras with the Tropical signs and rulers, which I think isn't a

very good way to approach the nakshatras. (The book is INDIAN ASTROLOGY.)

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Therese

This was the book is much more of a popular astrology approach than any of

her others. The others are serious and take a more strictly Vedic approach,

though she is more flexible than many other texts. I think she was

attempting to bring Vedic astrology to the mass market in a way that would

make it more approachable with the book you mention.

I don't there is much point in getting small quotes from her work. You need

to go a bookshop and browse through her books. Though I see you quote

dollars, so she may not be so readily on sale for you as she is in England.

Hi Therese,

I have this book: translated in Dutch. I just sent a shortlist about

naksatras to the list 2 days ago. Don't you think that is correct?

In what way is she not making a good combination between western and

Jyotish? I have understood that in Jyotish the emphasis is more on

the moon rather than the sun. Komilla puts in this book the emphasis

on the sun, am I correct?

LOL, I hope you made sense of that garble. I certainly can't. I should stop

trying to answer messages first thing in the morning, with a cat on my lap,

leaning on the keyboard!

Hi Morgana,

We have seven cats in the house (my daughter and her husband brought her

three with them when they came to live with us) so you can imagine the

shannigans we have with the computers!!!

Oh yes Flick, I can see it now. Hope your daughter is doing well with her pregnancy right now; seeing it through as well as she can anyway under difficulties. Soon you will have a new baby, a grandchild and that will bring you great joy. warm wishes, MorganaFlick <rubysun wrote:

Thanks Morgana. I'm really looking forward to it, though if cats can tangle

with computer wiring, can you imagine the fun a toddler could have, given

half a chance ;-)

What is it about us Vedic astrologers? We have 4 cats, had 5 but one died right after Christmas, and they looooooooooove to hang around the computer. I guess they get the most attention that way, as when they position themselves between the user and the monitor screen, how can one help but notice them?
