Flick, I don't think you read the sign of Aries on the Lost Zodiac site? Did you know that the constellation of Aries (under Tropical Taurus) is pictured as a ram plopped down in the meadow, lazily looking back over its shoulder? And that the heavenly Bull is charging forward, hornes extended as if to gore someone? Taurus is ruled by Venus and is the exaltation of the Moon. Are either of these stubborn with the tendency to dig in its heels? >tactile, staying power and determination, practicality and earthiness... Very much sidereal Aries. Mars is the planet that hs staying power, is determined and practical. >, liking for pink, mauve etc, sensual... Tones and shades of Mars and Pluto... But you will have a strong Venus influence--the planet itself--because you're a writer and designed those beautiful Tarot cards. Did you post your data here a while ago? If so, could you post it again? (My son has Sun, Moon and Ascendant in Tropical Taurus, but has no Venus traits whatsoever except that he seems to never carry grudges or have bad feelings about people--Venus sextile Moon--no artistic talent, doesn't like to read--likes to be outside where his work is.) As for your husband, if he doesn't want his data posted, could you give his year of birth, his ascendant degree and the degrees of those six planets? This will still preserve his privacy if there's no name, no time and no place of birth. Flick, what are your favorite Tropical sign books--where you learned the meanings of signs? Sometimes the Tropical observations are quite good. And sometimes certain authors totally miss on some of the signs. LOL I don't think it matters how the symbolism applies - if my western Taurus characteristics apply to vedic Aries, fine as long as it gives a description we can work with. BTW, I also exhibit signs of Aries moon... > > Taurus is ruled by Venus and is the exaltation of the Moon. Are either of > these stubborn with the tendency to dig in its heels? Yep, can be. Exaltation of a planet doesn't make it perfect, it just means it works the best it is able. > > But you will have a strong Venus influence--the planet itself--because > you're a writer Writing is a function of Mercury, also related to Sagittarius. Mercury is in Sag for me in both systems, and is 3rd house karaka in 6th, and Jupiter rules my 9th and is atmakaraka, so writing will be an apt way for me to earn, especially spiritual subjects. > > Flick, what are your favorite Tropical sign books--where you learned the > meanings of signs? I rarely read tropical sign definitions now: I've been doing this for 30 years, a lot of that time on a professional basis, so I can't pin down specific books now. Most of my learning has come from clients over the years, seeing how the original foundation I acquired relates to them on a personal basis. Anyway, I think it's pointless trying to favour one system over the other...both work, both are strong in different ways. > > Blessings, > Therese
