Dear Robin, friends & All:

Don't forget, it's also important to look at the Sun, Rising Signs, and

especially the Moon's when trying to explain quietness.....

I have Mars in my 10th House, and have enjoyed...a kind of dynamic side of

myself...

But, though Mars is very dominant, like in the first or 7th houses, because

of my Moon in the 12th house, with Saturn, too, and only one house away from

my Sun in the 11th....

I also experience a deep kind of 'inwardness', and even shyness, that a

strong dominant Mars, doesn't completely explain.

I also know a friend who has Mars in her first house, and she too, is very

shy. Her shyness, is because her Moon's with her Saturn in her 11th House,

and she's often been able to tell me,

she understands why her Mars is uncomfortable in her first house, because

she does go 'too fast' sometimes, and can get upset or irritable fairly

easily.

Like Bettina has said before, it's very important to look at all the

different aspects of our charts.

We have to study each part of our charts, individually, one at a time,

but...

we need to stop and let them all go, and spontaneously, embrace all of them,

together....

at some point...

ciao

Hi ALL,

That must be because of Saturn 3rd aspect to Mars. When

ever saturn aspects any planet ,it destroys that

planets qualities and implants his own. That's shyness

comes from saturn's aspect to Mars.

I don't totally agree. Saturn can have a tempering effect on the planets

that it aspects, particularly if it's in a good sign. Take an aspect from

Saturn to Mars, for example. Mars is exalted in Saturn's sign, Capricorn,

and Saturn disciplines Mars. The result can be an affinity for hard work

and self control. Mars by itself is often impulsive and taken to extremes,

aggressive. Saturn gives it direction. Mars, on the other hand, does not

have a good effect on Saturn. Mars simply frustrates Saturn, often resulting

in anger and hostility. Mars is an enemy to Saturn, but Saturn is neutral to

Mars. Saturn is not always the bugbear we make it out to be. At it's best

it's a disciplinarian and a temperer. It's karmic sandpaper.

Let's take a look at Saturn when combined with some of the other planets.

In aspect to Jupiter, it keeps that planet from being too blown up, too

given to aggrandizement and limitlessness. Saturn/Jupiter aspects often

show up in the charts of deeply spiritual or philosophical people. Combined

with Venus, it makes for loyalty and the ability to put up with adversity in

relationships (and there always will be adversity in relationships, esp. the

big ones like marriage!). You won't find flibbertigibbets (sp?) with good

Saturn/Venus combinations! Combined with Mercury it can indicate a well

organized person. I've known many secretaries with that combination. In

rare cases there may even be brilliant thinkers with this (eg Einstein).

When I think of Saturn, that word that's been so overused in politics for

the last few years comes to mind: " gravitas " . It keeps the other planets

from flying away. It can be disasterous, depending on sign, house

placement, and house rulership, but it can also bring out the best in the

planets it aspects.
