Hello, cj, Mary and all:This topic about Sun

and Saturn is a very fascinting subject to me.Sometimes you're

read about how the Sun is supposed to represent ourselvesand our

Father's. One of the best testiments about the Sun, however, comes

from direct experience. When you look at the Sun in all

the sibling's charts in a family you realizethe Father can't be all

those examples of the Sun.One sister has her Sun in Taurus

while another has her Sun in Scorpio. However, there is another

idea in Astrology that the Sun in our chartsrepresents ourself and

our relationship with our Father's.In my chart that was

certainly true. My Sun was in Leo in my chartbut my dad was

not your typical Leo type of person. In fact it was his Moon

in Taurus that more clearly defined him. Careing, giving, considerate. However, the Sun in Leo fits me and it fits the

great love I had for him.For my other brothers and sisters

they too had their own Sun's and Ican see how their Sun's fit their

own personal relationships with theirFather.Then,

there's Saturn. I like the normal view of Saturn that Saturn

representslessons and balance, maturity things like that. That, too seemed to fit my life. I had Saturn in Virgo in my 12th

Housewhich was also with my Moon. As a result I've had many

lessons and trialsregarding the Moon and emotions. But,

the moment I learned how to create more balance in my life, mainly through such things as meditation and yoga, my Saturn lessons began

tosettle down.

Sincerely,

I'd look

at the charts of both the parents and the children and

perhaps

run chart synastries on them to make final determination.

Personally, I'm not sure which planet stands for my father. He was a

Cancer Sun and my MOON and VENUS both are in Cancer. My mother was a

Virgo Sun and my SATURN is in Virgo! But Dad had Virgo Rising and my

Mom's Rising degree of Capricorn falls squarely in my fourth house.

My Sun is in Leo conjunct Pluto and my Dad was a controller. He was

also highly critical (an understatement), something I associate with Saturn in Virgo.

I think house placements and aspects could greatly modify the

Sun/Saturn/Mars thing. I was born in the day. An astrologer

once told me that she had heard that those with Saturn in 12,

whether they be male or female (like me) don't understand men. Well,

duh??? LOL! Mary E.
