Certainly not! Your thoughts are more then welcome. In fact, anything that we can do tht alleviates the planetary imbalances is desirable. In Ayuveda for example there are numerous suggestions one can do to bring the doshas back into balance.I actually got inspired by Jyotish's ability to see the subtle planetary details of imbalance as well. But, where Ayurveda and many treatments deal with the Physiology what I like especially about Jyotish is it's mental component, in other words, dealing with the mind as the real source of our problems. In our charts, for example, are those planets that are literally creating our problems, and we often times don't realize this. So, the key is to learn how to improve those mental and emotionall, psychological and personality patterns that the planets represent. In the case of talking about Mars, Mars represents the way in which we use our Mars energy. When we look at our charts we'll see Mars somewhere. How our Mars is, is an intimate reflection of how we use our Mars aggressiveness. Therefore, if it's overly productive or too forceful, we'll have an out of balance pitta in the pulse, and in our life we'll be experiencing any number of negative results. The solution however, is to decrease the willful aspect of our Mars! And, this is where Jyotish comes in. Until the person wishes to decrease there Mars imbalance, no treatment or suggestion is going to work.To me, this is one of the most important features of Astrological counseling, to help the person see that the way in which they're using any of their malefic planets is not health and therefore something they should consider changing. We have this old expression: " where there's a will there's a way.... " In this regard, where we have the will for something, that's where and how we're manifesting our lives.Unfortunately, most people don't realize that their malefics are where we've been willfully thinking, feeling and acting in specific ways and because these impulses are incorrect, out of balance or mistaken, then the negative results are coming...and we can't seem to figure out why.In my Jyotish work, the first thing I look for is literally, the person's willingness to change, to get out of that problem...and for that they have to be willing...to change that part of themselves...Fun talking with you today.Hope you're doing well!Mark K.
