Guest guest
Transit Newsletter June 2, 2008 Moon Moves into Taurus Today New Moon Coming Up Dear Members: Today’s Transits are very fascinating. Today, the Moon moves into Taurus its sign of Exaltation. In other words, the Moon’s supposed to be happiest in the sign of Taurus. So, on an inner feeling level we should feel ‘great’! However, one needs to also look at the size of the Moon. So, the fact that the Sun’s also in Taurus this month gives us a clue that the Moon’s transition through Taurus won’t typically be as grand as other months because this Moon & Sun in Taurus at the same time represents the New Moon! In other words the Moon though of good Taurian quality will not be real big or strong. So, much of the tenderness of the New Moon, the fragileness of the Moon feeling level will still be felt. Though the quality of that delicate feeling will still be superb! Interesting juxtaposition of polar opposites! New Moon June 3rd, 2008 2:30pm CST So, the New Moon, the height of the New Moon will be tomorrow at 2:30pm for the central time zone. Adjust for your time zone but see if you’ve been feeling that intense inwardness of the New Moon. I notice that one especially notices the ‘difference’ when the Moon swings by the Sun. Then, as the Sun begins to WAX you can really feel that shift. It’s sometimes as clear as can be. In that moment, it’s like the pendulum of a clock all of a sudden starts moving in the opposite direction. See if you can feel that shift tomorrow! Other Important Transits Going on NOW Venus in Taurus Its Own Sign Mercury’s Retrograde Mars is in Cancer It’s Sign of Debilitation Jupiter’s in Sagittarius It’s Own Sign There are a lot of fascinating goings on right now. Jupiter and Venus are both in their Own Signs. This is an especially auspicious time because these two great natural benefices are strong and putting out good energies. However, at the same time Mercury recently went retrograde, which it regularly does and so many people already are realizing challenges with their functioning intellects. (See below for r’s comments.) Also, Mars is in its weakest sign of debilitation Cancer so that’s another simultaneous goings on which will be good to be aware of. And finally, there’s the quality of the aspects going on right now too. Aspects Once you understand and can feel the nature of the planets and their movements around the sky, you’ll then be able to pick up on the slightly more subtle dynamics of the planets aspects. For example, the Moon’s very happy in Taurus. But, this month the Moon’s transition into Taurus happens at the same time as the Sun’s being in Taurus hence the New Moon is also going on. These two simultaneous happenings tend to neutralize each other. So, if the Moon’s Exaltation in Taurus is like a 10, then the New Moon is like a 1 so the actual transit will feel more like a 5. Like that there are always simultaneous different happenings. They all together create the realities that we’re going through. Recently, the Nodes of the Moon Rahu and Ketu made an important transition into new signs. Over the last 1 ½ years they were in Aquarius and Leo. We were watching all this last year how Saturn and Ketu were together and as they got closer together at times then farther apart, then collided and then separated again, these happenings had a dramatic influence upon the stock markets and other worldly events. Now, Rahu’s moved into Capricorn and Ketu’s moved into Cancer. This in itself is important and one should look at the Houses where Capricorn and Cancer are in your chart to see what the potential effects will be for your Rising Sign. So, if you’ve got an Aries rising then Cancer will be in your 4th house of home and heart while your Capricorn will be in the 10th house of career. If you’ve got a Cancer rising then Ketu’s influence through Cancer will be affecting your first house of body and self. Rahu then will be moving through the 7th house which can have powerful effects upon marriage and all partnerships. I’ve also been making a study of the weather over the years and for these last 1 ½ years I’ve noticed Rahu and Ketu’s supposedly 5th, 7th, and 9th house aspects contributing to the weather patterns. Recently, as Rahu/Ketu shifted I noticed right away that the weather fronts happened now 2 days earlier since their position have also changed. For example, this last week we had dramatic storms, even lightning and tornadoes as the Moon went through the sign of Pisces. This meant that Ketu in Cancer was casting its 9th house aspect upon Pisces now instead of Aries when it was in Leo. So, it’s fascinating to watch these subtle shifts. Now, as the Moon goes through Taurus, Rahu’s position in Capricorn means it’ll be also influencing Taurus due to its 5th house aspect. You count the house that a planet is in as #1. So, being in Capricorn, that’s #1 for Rahu. Then, Aquarius is #2, Pisces is #3, Aries is #4 and Taurus is #5. See if you can feel that intense Rahu influence upon the Moon too during these next 2 days! After that the Moon moves into Gemini, will be waxing which in itself will be a relief and then, Rahu’s direct influence will be not there! Main thing is to watch the Moon! The Moon is the great barometer, receiver and transmitter of the stars! Over the years as I’ve made a chart of each day’s transits I have to say, watching the Moon has been the most revealing. When the Moon’s with other planets you can feel more intensely the nature of those planets. So, when Moon is with Sun, you’ll feel that deep inwardness of the New Moon. Then, when the Moon moves into Leo where Saturn is you’ll feel that intense, unique Saturn effect. Then, when the Moon moves where Jupiter is you’ll feel the incredible difference between Saturn and Jupiter! People often times feel more ease, more urge for gaining knowledge and more good luck during Moon & Jupiter conjunctions. On the other hand, during Moon & Saturn times you’ll notice a dramatic difference. If you’re out of tune with Saturn or imbalanced at all you’ll feel the negative affects of Saturn the most during these days. If you’ve had to be working too hard or straining you may get sick or feel very out of sorts. Saturn makes us aware of our balance! If we’re out of balance we really feel it during these times. If we’re more in balance, we are likely to experience the glorious Benefic side of Saturn instead. There is tremendous potential of goodness with Saturn only we need to be rested and fresh. Then, Saturn can take us deep into deep wonderful experiences of silence and stillness. In such moments or days, much break through in our lives can happen. Important break trough’s can happen at work or in career. Important break troughs can happen in our personal, spiritual life. Listen to the ‘signs’ of these transits and the planets especially with the Moon’s help will tell you how you’re doing! Enjoy!
