Rahu is 18 years of loss, misery

and unhappiness...

But, Jupiter is right around the

next corner..!Dan DubieDear Dan:Yikes! Boy, that would scare the wholly out of me!heheIn my Rahu I learned to meditate, became a meditation

teacher and did all my major teaching!My Rahu was in the 5th

house of mantras and education! Oh, yes I was in school too during

this time.Though it's true my Rahu period was also intensely

dominated by rahuishtype of experiences too.But, I think

this is more because Rahu/Ketu are in a more malefic configurationthen in some people's charts.The thing to do is figure out

if there are these kinds of malefic configurations, lookat previous

Rahu period's to better know whether Rahu will be malefic orbenefic!But, each day I meditated, and relieved more and

more ofthose intensely Rahuish compulsions!I wish then,

that someone had been around to teachme about Rahu.That

would have helped a lot!So, we should not have this

feeling: " oh, in 18 years it'll be better! " heheWhen I first went into my Sani Mahadasa in 1991 allkinds of

losses came to me!That made sense to me because my Sani was in

my 12th house! of loss...I asked Saturn, however:

" Hey! I thought I was in tune with you! " He

just laughed!Ever hear 'God' G big or G small, laugh at

you!It's quite embarassing!But, after he subsided with

his 2 minute giggle, in more humility I said:

" ....eh....okay,...what should Ido? " You know

what he said? " More...silence.... more silence..... " That's all he said. And, thus began my even deeper,and

deeper appreciation of Saturn!So, we all need to understand

the nature of the period's we're going through or will be going

through!But, we should focus on the healing or growth of

thoseplanets during their malefic periods!Malefic periods aren't just bad karma periods that are

coming to us!They represent opportunities to work on our

malefics!So, we have an accident, get sick, have something

unhappy happen to us;and boy we resolve to do better!If

an accident we swear to God, we'll drive better!If we get sick, we

pray to God, that we'll get more rest!It could be that

someones' spontaneous Rahu is one oftheir Benefices and they

actually have more positiveexperiences during their Rahu period!And, if their Jupiter is less positive or more malefic,their
