Guest guest
This is an amazing Explanation I have come across. Could you please explain the meaning of Dashas? What is the meaning of Mahadasha, Antar dasha and so on? What does Dasha implies in terms of planets transits/location in one's star or sign or house? Dear George: " Dasas " simply mean 'time periods'. The karmas of our previous actions,of our different planets come back to us at particular times. The Dasas and Transits both, express those consequences of our karmas. The 3 major Dasas, Maha, Antardasa and Bhukti express the 3 planets' whose karmaswill be coming back to us at particular times. You can 'feel't the Dasas' karmas and their shifts from one period to another. On the otherhand the Transits represent the karmas that are coming back to us through our environments, as if through our senses or bodies. The Dasas are 'felt' on the natural level of feeling. So, at some time we all of a sudden feel a shift on the level of our feelings. We don't know why but all of a sudden we feel to be doing something different. This is because of our Dasa shifts. We should watch our Dasas and Transits so we can know which positive or negative karmas we will be going through in the future.Once we know this, then we can do unique and specific remedies for any of our malefics;as their karmas will be felt during those dasas and transits of those malefics. So, if we have Saturn or Mars in the 8th, and we've noticed in the past; that past Dasa periods of Saturn or Mars brought sickness; then this time we can be better prepared to deal with these karmas. We may not have control over the karmas, like the weather, but we can be better preparedto go through that nasty patch of weather. We take an umbrella, we don't try and plan an important event during some especially negative or inauspicious transit.Instead we rest and heal during these periods. That's what they're really about anyway.Benefic periods are for all progress and easy, natural fulfillment of desire, planning andsetting in motion.Malefic periods are for healing, for learning to deal differently with our planets which reallyjust represent all the different ways in which we think, act or behave. So, if Mars is malefic in our charts, and we experience negative things during Mars dasa ortransit periods, then next time we can be better prepared. We put attention on healing or balancing more our Mars during the future periods, and wewill have taken better advantage with this so-called malefic period.Malefic periods or planets are not about curses or bad karmas only; they're more aboutseeing exactly how we've been thinking incorrectly in the past so that we can learn to adjustor grow in that part of life or our nature. So, if we get especially heated or irritable during Mars malefic periods, then we now knowthat we're supposed to be about improving the nature of our Mars!Sade Sat is a period of Saturn and the Moon. The Moon shows us how in-tune we are withour Saturn's!If Saturn is benefic in our charts, then even Sade Sat periods can be glorious! But, if Saturn is malefic, and unfortunately for most people Sani is a malefic planet, then we're meant to grow in Saturn wisdom during this time.Generally, SAturn's transits are there to teach us where we need to grow in nature's silence. So, every sign and house that Saturn moves through is the occasion to bring more naturalSaturn silence to that area of the life. For me, watching Saturn go through my 10th house of Cancer and now 11th house of Leothese last 5 years I became keenly aware that Saturn could either be a boulder, obstacle,or a Silence portal. Then, I realized that Sani's transits through these different houses represented nature's guidance showing me where I'm supposed to develop more deep silence.Hope this helpsMark Kincaid.. I would appreciate if you could please clarify this with your knowledge. Many Thanks !! Best Regards, George
