Are the planets and there placements in the Lagna chart that

important eventhough our we do predictions on the basis of Hi George: Traditionally, predictions are

primarily based on the Dasa system. When you want to know about

the future, I've found first looking at the Dasa's of the past, will

help you figure out how relevant or right on the Dasa's are. Then, you can make reasonably accurate predictions.Mark

K. 1. current planetary transits -

prediction is done from the moon rashi not the lagna chart.

2. Dasha system 3. Yearly chart which is created for

the individual yearly from his/her Birthday. Please

advise, Regards, George

Sir,

I take permission from Mr. Mark. K, whom I consider as one of respectable person on this subject of Astrology, to explain on Desa System:

Desa System : In short, explains, 'ruling' for a given period of a Planet, in the established succession, to cover the entire life period of the Natal. This is a common fact to all Desa systems in practice under recommendations from various 'Gurus'. However, the periods so allotted to Planets are in vogue, though the relative explanations for such allocations are not exhaustive. While implying these 'Periods' of 'excellence' to a concerned Planet had proved that they work on rhythm as per its qualities, applications, gradation of effects, inter-related merit of results, etc., and proved to be the correct 'tool' to determine the 'happenings' in both Natal, Mundane, Medical and other branches of Astrology interpretations. With out this 'tool' the success and the demand for Astrology would not have existed, and would have been inviting average interest from human population, though they believe God

and fear of evil effects. This has enhanced the attraction in Vedic (Hindu) Astrology to the 'timing of events'!

The established succession of Periods (in Vimshothri Desa) is :: (years in bracket) The Sun (6); The Moon (10); Mars (7); Rahu (The Northern Node) (18); Jupiter (16); Saturn (19) Mercury (17) Ketu (Southern Node) (7); Venus (20); - The Nodes take away 25 years in the span of Life of a Natal at a distance period of Rahu to Ketu - 52 Years ; and, Ketu to Rahu : 43 Years. In effect, the planets, other than Nodes, exercise among them 95 Years. Then, Nodes play an important part in Natal astrology to give negative results in a person's life to balance success with trace of disappoints or otherwise. This adds to the composite reasons in periods for consolidation to success in life. Though all these are listed under person's 'Karma', the opportunities are provided with these Desa calculation for one to rectify the 'defects'. That adds too the glory of Vedic

(Hindu) Astrology.

Predictions from Moon Chart and Lagna in Birth chart, will act as 'Vernier Caliper' in deducting 'predictions' to reach the accuracy expected of an Astrologer.

One should understand the 'fundamentals' in this great science to find the depth of truth and resultant 'cause and effects' to enjoy the 'results', which would be accurate.

God bless all.
