Dear Etapas2000: You've asked a very good question here, ie. when is Rahu positive or negative in our charts. I'd like to add some thoughts to this topic. I've found one of the most simple ways of determining whether Rahu or really any planet is positive or benefic or negative or malefic in one's chart. And, that is to ask yourself whether you're already experiencing the positive or negative consequences related to that planet. For example, if the Moon is malefic in one's chart than all manner of negative qualities of the Moon will be there. These include such things as worry, anxieties, phobias of all kinds, fear, even depression are just some of the Moon's malefic 'signs'. On the other hand, when the Moon is found 'Benefic' the positive attributes and expressions of the Moon will be there. These include such things as emotional stability, evenness, inner happiness, joy and total lack of emotional problems. For Rahu, the main malefic signs include any and all of these including: 1) compulsions, 2) obsessions and 3) addictions. So, looking into our experiences, if we experiencing any of these unique qualities of the negative side of Rahu, this then, is a very good way of determining when Rahu is functioning malefically in our charts. On the other hand if Rahu is strong, positive or Benefic in our charts then the opposite qualities will be there. For those with Benefic Rahu's they have desires but their desires do NOT control or obsess them.Once you determine whether you're experiencing the positive or negative side of Rahu, you can look into the House placementto see if the area of the life where Rahu is (House) is primarily where the negative influences are coming. This too, then, will be a natural verification of your chart. In my own experience I had Rahu in my 5th house in Aquarius in my original chart. And, over the years and especially afterdoing Jyotish research I saw confirmed there that I always have had strong obsessions and compulsions with such 5th housethings as romantic relationships. In other words, it helped me greatly to realize that part of my challenge is that I have intense obsessions for love, romance, and especially related to 5th house pre-maritial relations. Therefore, one can find the exact place of one's Rahu characteristics and that will confirm whether Rahu is positive or negative. Then, one can begin the even more important job of purifying, balancing or healing the negative aspects of Rahu or any planet, really that's found acting malefically. Hope this helps Sincerely, Mark Kincaid In , "Rohiniranjan" <rohini_ranjan wrote:>> http://boloji.com/astro/00303.htm> > For what it is worth, please spend a few seconds and browse through this article. It touches upon the nodes that have so many layers or realization and also of confusion!
