Is Astrology a science or myth?

Astrology is the greatest science in the entire universe. It's that

body of knowledge that describes intimately,

the nature, purpose and goals of every human being as well as the

universe itself.

 

We all, already believe and accept that we're living in an

astronomical universe.

 

We take this for common, because all we have to do is look into the

sky on any evening and we will see that we live in a vast,

pannorama of stars, planets and galaxies. We now, know how the Stars

work, generally what they're made of and even how

all the planets work and move. We can, for example, predict exactly

where they all will be in 1 year, in 100 or 1,000 years!

 

What we don't still know however, is why!

 

The single, eternally most important and most illusive of all human

questions is why! Why do I exist? What is the purpose

of my life and existence here? These questions have still not been

answered. We can put a 'man on the Moon' but we

still can't know why we are here.

 

Fortunately, today, in the ancient knowledge and philosophy of

Astrology is the fulfillment of this deepest of questions.

 

Inside each of our astrological charts, is a clear description of

who we are and even, who we're meant to become.

 

All of our human characteristics, qualities and personality traits

are well described, there. Especially which of our human

qualities are our strengths and which are our weaknesses, are also

clearly explained.

 

The main problem with Astrology, for over 1600 years has been

Western Astrology has been increasingly becoming more and

more out of tune with the actual sky. Today, about 1660 years ago,

Western astrologers began calculating the 'stars' differently

and this 'new' Mathematics now, has created the effect of most of

Astrology being literally, out of sync with the Actual Sky!

 

As a result of this, modern day scientists don't trust Astrology.

There normal first question is: " How can I study, test, verify

and validate the beliefs, theories or ideas of Astrology. " The Western

Astrologer, now can only say, " Eh, I'm sorry, Astrology

is not an actual phenomena, its more of a symbolic science. "

 

And, when modern day scientists hear this they just throw up their

hands and give up!

 

Fortunately, today, about 50 years ago, something changed in the

field of Western Astrology which is beginning to finally

bring Astrology back in line with the stars. A Western astrologer,

Cyril Fagan first came up with the idea to bring modern day

Astrology, back in line with the pre-Ptolemy days of Astrology. Instead

of calculating the astrological chart, related to the

Equinoxes, he began calculating it, based on the exact moment that the

Sun moves into Aries in the middle of April, each year.

 

That immediately brought Astrology, back in line with the actual sky.

 

Now, instead of there being a literal 23 degree gap between the

astrological chart and the actual sky, now there is a very exact

and potentially verifiable reality to study.

 

Now, when individuals get all critical and testy every 2 1/2 days

when the Moon goes through Virgo, every month, there's a

very 'real' phenomena in Nature that we can research and validate.

 

I first started out in Astrology, in the late 60's studying that

old, Western astrological system, which now is called Tropical

Astrology. And, like millions of people I found some parts of my

western chart did seem to fit me. But, also, some did not.

 

So, I put it away, got involved with other things until I discovered

Eastern Astrology in the late 1980's. I immediately felt such

a depth and intimate connection between who I am and what my eastern

astrological chart said I was supposed to be about. Interestingly,

enough, the Eastern astrological system has always been an 'actual sky'

or Sidereal astrological system, like the new Cyril Fagan system.

 

So, I began studying this new Eastern astrological system called

Jyotish, Eastern or Vedic Astrology. With each day of self-

study and I continued finding that this system fit me perfectly! Not

only did it explain my strengths but it also, clearly described

each and every one of my weaknesses! So, I knew it was not playing into

my delusions, hopes and wishes for myself.

 

Instead, it became a clear and unbiased exact, 'mirror' of who I am.

 

Once I became adequately clear as to how this chart truly fit me I

began studying how it might fit my family members. Because

I knew them, more intimately than all others, I thought they would be a

good test for whether there charts fit them, too!

 

And, one after the other, I found they too fit their charts. Being

the oldest of six, and having a mother and father, I always wondered we

all were so different and had such strange and unique personalities!

When, I applied their charts to them, I found out exactly why they are

the way that they are.

 

Then, I expanded into my friends, and over the course of a year

discovered how they intimately fit their charts as well. When,

you only know how your chart fits you, that can be nice, but not as

convincing when you can explain how the astrological chart

fits 5-10 other people as well. When, I discovered how my 50 or so

friends fit their charts, that was even much more convincing.

 

Then, I expanded into my acquaintances, and up to 100, than 200

people. Then, I wanted to see if everyone I met fit their

charts as well. When, I got up to about 500 people, and each and every

one of them, literally fit their charts, this totally

convinced me that there was something, indeed to this Astrology thing!

 

Like a modern day scientist, who so deeply begins to understand how

his discipline is profoundly understandable through the

Mathematics of science, Astrology, too can be extremely true and real to

life.

 

Modern day scientists, however, don't worry about trying to convince

others about their beliefs or mathematical insights.

They all agree and understand the Mathematics of science. What

astrologers have to do is create a system of examination,

and self-verification, so that all the great ideas, beliefs and opinions

of Astrology, too, can become more scientific.

 

Those of us who are more experienced in Astrology, have to remember,

that we've earned a kind of PHD in Astrology when

we've discovered how 1,000, 2,000 or even 5,000 people literally fit

their charts!

 

What we need to do now, is continue to show the public, that in

every imaginable human situation, there is an astrological

reason for that.

 

The person who has emotional or mental problems, has these, because

of the Moon, in their original birth charts. The person who has

self-confidence issues, has definite challenges of the Sun, in their

original birth charts. Health problems are extremely

often due to challenged or malefic functioning Saturn's in people's

charts.

Success and challenges in the field of relationships can bee seen as

the play and interaction of the two main relationship planets, Mars and

Venus.

 

There is NO human situation I've encountered in over 40 years now,

that can not be adequately explained and predicted, from

individual's charts.

 

In addition, good Astrology is also about how we can take this

great insight, and help each person awaken to a more

positive version of themselves.

 

So, those individuals that have difficult Moons and extremely

frustrating emotional problems, they will benefit tremendously,

from the specific suggestions, remedies and remedial measures that have

been found to have a profound influence upon literally,

strengthening the Moon, inside!

 

In other words, in addition to promoting Astrology, we also need to

encourage people to learn those formulas and practical

techniques of self-improvement that will literally help people improve

their lives!

 

Science is not only theoretical. Science is also extremely

practical and involved in the day to day realities of every aspect of

life. Astrology too, needs to become that practical.

 

But, there is no knowledge in the entire world that is as accurate

and profound, in explaining the human situation, than the

knowledge, and yes, the science of Astrology.

 

In future discussions I think it might be fun and valuable to

discuss how Astrology, has the ability to satisfy all the criteria,

and characteristics of what science is.
