Hi Narotham Reddy, Another good way of thinking of Bhavas or Houses, is that they represent the vibrations or

energies that are coming to us at every moment, in the sky. Take the circumference of the sky and 'those' vibrations that

are coming to us through the different segments of the sky ARE the real Houses of Astrology.

 

For example, if one is born at 6am, the Sun's just coming up and that means its literally, on the East Horizon, which

turns out to be the 1st House. If you were born at 4am, the Sun's not yet coming up and would be below the horizon which

represents the 2nd House. On the other hand if you were born at 8am and the Sun's already up, then, that next segment

of the sky would be the 12th House.

 

So, dividing the sky around the Earth at the time of birth gives us the 12 Houses. And, whatever planets are in those

specific 12 slices of the sky, represent your different planets in the different Houses.
