When all the other religion people like Muslim, Christian and some people in hindu, conducts marriages without seeing horoscope matching, but most of them are doing good in their marital life. Even with more than 80% of horo matching as per hindu astrology, some marriages are failing. I dont understand the things clearly. If it is decided by god or fate that one will marry a particular person in a particular janma, why this horoscope matching is needed? In the cases of love marriage, there is no horoscope matching in picture. I have seen literally one couple who are doing very fine in their life after their love marriage. I have analysed their horoscopes, horoscopes did not match. It is strange isn't it. So, I am confused, what to believe and what not to believe. Is it that if you dont see horoscope, no problem, but if you see, then there is a problem. In love marriages, if both the minds and hearts are united, I think, problems are not there between them. Today most of the marriages (including arranged marriages) are failing due to incompatibility of mental wavelength and preferences. It is said that if one adopts the way of gandharva vivaha, astrology has no effect on their horo mismatch.Is it true? Astrology is meant to help you to know the results, and try to modify them, by appropraite actions in this life, before the event. If you are warned of an accident, and told to be careful, the accident will happen, but because you have been careful, the injuries will be less. Same is true of marriages. The matching of horoscopes is an attempt to avoid/reduce the effects there of, althouh you may marry who so ever is destined to marry. In Love marriages, it is not necessary to see the charts at all, as the marriage is already settled. Comparing Charts before marriage, is one method to avoid,if possible, the negative results from marriage/ or its break up. This way the subject itself comes under questions, a constant effort to discover more and to research the existing classics is required, which is hardly done, there are practical problems too, like time's limitation for a single astrologer.
