What are the prasadams we have to offer?. One of my friends is suffering from some skin disease. Guest guest Posted August 1, 2007 Report Share Posted August 1, 2007 Dear Member: It will be beyond me to explain the complete procedure of Worshipping the Sudarshana yantra in a post! It is best to get the guidance of someone living near your area regarding that. Generally, you can have the sudarshana yantra installed after a sudarshana homam in your house for its energization. After that, you can chant the Sudarshana mantra 12 times, 18 times, 32, 36, 54, or 108 times as per your convenience. Remember to offer abhishekam to the yantra (if it is exposed) on Thursdays without fail. For daily worship, you can chant the Sudarshana Sthothra recited by King Ambareeshaa or the Sudarshana shatkam or Sudarshana ashtakam composed by the Great Saint Vedaanta Desikaa. Offering Mahaa Naivedyam (cooked Rice) daily will be enough. If possible, you can offer special worship on fullmoon/ no moon days to the yantra. If the yantra is framed within glass cases, then you can just offer sandal wood paste to the yantra daily. Kindly remember it is almost equal to Lord Vishnu in its Prowess, and Yoga Narasimha is believed to reside behind the Sudarshana Chakraa. So, offer paanakam (Gur mixed with water and elaichi) on Swaati nakshatra days. Keeping a properly consecrated Sudarshana yantra can provide security against accidents, evil spirits, and bad luck. I would honestly recommend just chanting the sudarshana mantras instead of keeping a yantra because if yantraas are not maintained properly, it could lead to Divine Wrath. But, if you feel you can maintain it properly with ritual purity, then simple worships with devotion will keep it " Saatwik " with respect to your family, " Ugraa " with respect to your inimical forces, and ultimately take you to salvation. Decide if this is the yantra you want to keep in your house (keeping too many yantraas is not auspicious; it is best to maintain few yantras and maintain them properly), and if your minds says yes, go ahead.
