further to what doctor ramaraju garu has said, i would like to praise

few more words on sage yajnavalkya

 

yajnavalkya's father did a tapas for lord brahma and requested lord

brahma to bless him a son to spread brahma vidya and lord brahma

himself is born as yajnavalkya.

 

yajnavalkya learnt rigveda from pashkala muni, samaveda from jaimini

muni, atharva veda from aruna muni and approached vaisampayana to

learn yajurveda. however, yajnavalkya displays extreme pride and

arrogance and his guru vaisampayana asks him to leave the yajurveda

that yajnavalkya learnt. later on yajnavalkya worships lord sun and

learns the same.

 

sage yajnavalkya is none other than lord brahma himself.
