Guest guest
Dear Jorge, thank you very much for taking the time posting these past messages. It gives me studying points. I was not at my computer reading the posts on SAMVA between July 10th and August 10th, so I missed this very interesting discussion. I will check the archives as you suggest. Since I have your attention I am taking the opportunity to ask you one quick question. Parts of the southeastern U.S. ( i.e., Florida and other places along the Atlantic seaboard like Richmond, Virginia, where tropical storm Gaston hit ) have experienced a lot of damage from tropical storms in the last 3 weeks, and now hurricane Frances is bearing down on Florida. There has not been a time when 2 major hurricanes have hit Florida within a 4 week time period in Florida's recorded history ( here I am referring to hurricanes Charlie and Frances). From today's news about hurricane Frances: " About 2.5 million residents were told to clear out ahead of what could be the most powerful storm to hit Florida in a decade. " My question: how do you see this weather caused damage in the U.S. Virgo 10:50 chart ? Thank you very much for your expertise and time. I appreciate it. Sincerely, Sara
Guest guest
Dear Sara, The USA is in Ve/Ju/Ve. Transit Rahu, a vata planet, is exactly on the MEP8 and afflicts exactly the MEP4, MEP2, MEP12 from the 8th house, while transit Saturn, also a vata planet and lord of the 6th house of calamities, is afflicting closely transit weak Jupiter, the lord of 4th house, and transit weak Venus, the lord of 2nd house. We have to see that natal Jupiter is combust and afflicted in rashi. I do not know the exact dates of these two calamities, but you can check if the MEP6 was afflicted by transit Sun and/or transit Mars, from the 12th house. As the Sun also represents somehow the " native " i.e. the territory, we can see it afflicted by the MMP, Mars, in the 12th house. Besides, we have to note that Jupiter and Venus, even though being both functional benefics, bring somehow the nature of Rahu to the fore as in rashi they are both placed in a nakshatra ruled by Rahu. Also, Venus brings the 4th house to the fore as it is placed in the navamsha of Sagittarius (which corresponds to the 4th house of rashi) and Jupiter brings " calamities " to the fore as it is placed in the navamsha of Aquarius (which corresponds to the 6th house of rashi). Guest guest
Dear Sara, Regarding the transit Sun, it must have been afflicted not only by transit Mars but also by transit Rahu from the 8th house. Transit Venus and transit Jupiter have been extremely weak these days in old age and/or infancy. In September 1, transit Jupiter also became debilitated in navamsha. Guest guest
Dear Sara, Let me add three more points: 1) Transit Saturn, lord of 6th, is becoming more weak, as it approaches the end of Gemini, not being able to defend its particular significations i.e. the " health " of the " native " . At the same time, it begins to afflict natal Mercury, the lord of lagna, and the natal Moon, the lord of 11th. 2) As USA is running Ve/Ju/Ve, we have to see how these two planets are: besides what was said regarding their transit weakness and natal placement in nakshatra and in navamsha, each one rules a house that is at the moment exactly afflicted by Rahu from the 8th house i.e. the 2nd and the 4th houses. 3) We know from Vedic Astrology that all the planets aspect the 4th and the 8th house from themselves in 75%, except Mars which aspects in 100%. That said, and knowing that Rahu and Ketu are usually in retrograde motion, which means that we have to count the houses from themselves in a clockwise manner, we can see that transit Rahu is afflicting in 75% the MEP1, from the most malefic house, the 8th.
