USA rectified chart (correction)/ONE POINT TO CLARIFY

A private reply to my message to Jorge has questioned my description of the Vote on July 2nd where I have written: "to Declare Independency". Is there a possible confusion here with the purpose of the Vote on July 4th?

Answer in a word: "No". The relevant Resolution introduced on June 7, 1776 by Richard Henry Lee was clearly understood to have entailed a two-fold decision FOR INDEPENDENCY as well as ITS DECLARATION. One shouldn't confuse this with what transpired just about exactly 48 hours later, on the afternoon of July 4th. On that occasion the purpose of the Vote was strictly focused on the final emendations of The TEXT of the DECLARATION, nothing more; The TEXT first introduced to Congress on the previous Friday, June 28th by the Chairman of the Drafting Committee (The "Committee of Five"), Thomas Jefferson, the Declaration's principal

author.

Among the public in Philadelphia that week there were celebrations on the evening of July 2nd and again following the official city sponsored proclamation ceremony on Monday the 8th of July. The 4th was, in keeping with the comparative significance of that day's Vote, a quiet evening in Philadelphia. A year later Independence celebrations were held only on the 4th more because of the published date of the celebrated document than because of the actual significance of what was accomplished on that historic July 4th. In conclusion, John Adams was right about July 2nd: it was the day that really mattered most during that historic Congressional week.

A discussion of the metaphysical difference between the Vote on July 2nd and the Vote on July 4th is not part of my purpose here, but I will end on a provocative note: Both Voting events were handled in the same parliamentary manner by John Hancock, the President. On neither occasion, July 2nd and 4th, was anything SIGNED. The Friday July 5th publication of ""A DECLARATION"" carried the imprimaturs of John Hancock and John Thomson, but not their autographical signatures. Nothing was signed until that Friday July 5th, and then only Hancock's covering letters attendant on official distribution of the Document, as well as the personal correspondence of some of the Delegates with the Document as an enclosure. Autographical signatures of Hancock and the Delegates were ceremonially affixed by pen and ink to the August 2nd elegant parchment "re-printing" of the Document on which re-printing the title was changed from "A DECLARATION" to "THE UNANIMOUS

DECLARATION".

All the brouhaha about the July 4th "signing" is pure Hollywood Myth aided and abetted by many scholars supplying internet websites with fanciful, imaginative descriptions of Hancock's July 4th lonesome signature that never happened. They have no physical evidence of it to support their claims and they never will. And so I recommend to anyone curious enough, to go to google to view the image of the Dunlap Broadside (printed July 5th) and compare it to an image of THE UNANIMOUS DECLARATION (first re-printed for distribution only on January 18, 1777); Compare the John Hancocks on the two: To be sure one finds that on the Dunlap Broadside the autographical signature is absent. That's the rest of the story........................ JOHN TWB <jtwbjakarta wrote:

Hi Jorge,

I'm very happy to see the detailed and CONVINCING results of your revised rectification for the birth chart of the USA.

For the benefit of the group membership I will be very glad to field any questions of detail on the historical justification of this "mid-afternoon" time-moment choice, or offer bibliographic references depicting and confirming the background to Jorge's rectification.

Jorge certainly faced the challenge. Mundane rectification as you all know is really difficult in the absence of a clear unambiguous historical record.

P.S. But I must caution that I steadfastly eschew acrimonious discussions with believers, of which they are legion, who insist on other birth DATES for the USA, such as July 6th 1775, July 4th 1776 or other commonly proposed alternative dates. Discussion on these alternative dates' histories, yes; but I'll leave the metaphysical questions of horoscopic suitability to Jorge and Thor and others. Indisputably, the most momentous event of the first week of July 1776 was the culminating heroic effort of the delegates from the 13 United Colonies to reach agreement to Declare "Independency" from the Crown and Parliament of Great Britain, the Congress' approving vote finally taken in Philadelphia during the mid-afternoon on Tuesday July 2nd, 1776.

(And all this momentous accomplishment notwithstanding the fact that the formal concurring permission for the 13th delegation, New York, arrived days later. The New York delegates gave their non-voting assuring support on that historic day and so stayed the course that week in unity with the other 12, promising that once their New York convention met on July 8th their vote would soon after be counted as it was to be; in fact as it turned out by the proceedings of the N.Y. Constitutional Convention at White Plains, New York, just a few hours before George Washington's organized proclamation of the Declaration of Independence to his troops on the Bowling Green in New York City, Tuesday July 9th at about 6:00 pm)Best regards, John

Dear Thor and list members,

Regarding the USA chart (Virgo lagna), once again our dear was right. I was wrong. The ascendant of USA seems to be Scorpio instead of Virgo. We were on the correct date, July 2, but not with the right time (ascendant), that is why the Systems Approach was not functioning 100%.

After additional information provided by an US historian, Mr. John TWB, all the rectification process was done once again with more than 34 new events and the new TOB of 15:48:12 came out as highly probable. It gives a Scorpio ascendant, as previously suggested by Mr. John. The longitude of the rectified lagna is 3 degrees 22 minutes 53 seconds. Ve/Sa/Sa began on 13 October 2004.
