Guest guest
America evolved comstitutionally throughout the 20th Century, to become a government directed by an Imperial Presidency. It is as if the government's fate has increasingly diverged from that of the nation's state over this period. Or more concretely, the people's interests and the interests of the elites controlling government are travelling on divergent paths within the American nation. With the aforementioned in mind, It shall be anything but a non-sequitur if one should wish to re-think entirely the significance of the horoscope for George Washington's First Inauguration on April 30, 1789. This date @ 1:20 pm in New York City (this, the Thomas Hague Chart first published in 1850) may well be the birth moment of the U.S. Federal Government. Yet in stark contrast to the horoscope for the USA, which is of course the American nation's state, not the nation's government, the horoscope of July 2, 1776 @ Philadelphia should tell a different tale than that of 1789's. So one shouldn't expect these two horoscopes to resonate to the same degree and direction on all major adverse historical moments impacting the American nation. Take, for instance, the event of Sept 11, 2001. The 1776 chart will show impact in adversity; the 1789 chart will not. Now think about that real hard, if you will. It's really not in the least counter-intuitive. This tragic day in 2001 was an adversity for whom? For which Americans?? Given that the obvious part of the question is just that, and easy enough to answer from the rudimentary knowledge provided by a daily newspaper, let me fast-forward to the not so obvious implication in all this: As the great early 20th Century American writer Randolph Bourne put it in the context of World War One and America's European intervention: "War is the health of Government"...... So when you look at the 1789 horoscope, do so looking for contrasts, not resonances, with what the 1776 horoscope depicts. The adversity of the people is all too often the health of the Government; just as certainly as a horoscope for the people's 'body politic', the State (as in United States: the USA) tells a story which increasingly and necessarily contrasts with that of the Federal Government. For example, ask a very different question of the 1789 horoscope than of the 1776; Ask of the 1789 if the 9/11 event shows not adversity, but a golden opportunity for its native ....in the 1789 chart, that is. If the astrologer discovers that much, then just maybe one will have found the path to solid ground in evaluating the future of America.
