Guest guest
Dear Sally, Thanks for the e-mail. Indonesia is a very peculiar country in that natal Venus is placed in the mid-point of Rahu and FM Saturn, Saturn afflicts closely MEPs 10, 12, 4 and 7, and the FM Sun, being in extreme infancy, afflicts exactly MEPs 11 and 5. Besides this, a close look to the Navamsha chart is also very important to get the feeling of the chart. In Navamsha, the lagna is vargottama but 6 planets are placed in dusthanas: Jupiter, Rahu, Sun, Venus, Ketu and Mars. Jupiter, L4, is afflicted by Rahu, Ketu, Mars and Saturn. Venus, L2, is afflicted by the Sun and Ketu. Being vargottama, it means that the FMPs in Rashi are also FMPs in Navamsha, which gives them a strong malefic nature. Let us look to the Rashi, Navamsha and Transit charts for this event: Indonesia is in Mo/Ju/Ve. The natal Moon, being debilitated in Rashi and afflicted by Rahu and the Sun in Navamsha, is beginning to become afflicted by transit MMP Mars. In transit, the Moon is debilitated in Navamsha and closely afflicted by Mars and Ketu. Natal Jupiter, L4, being weak in Rashi and strongly afflicted in Navamsha, is exactly afflicted by the 8th aspect of transit Rahu from the 8th house (non-SA) and closely afflicted by the 3rd aspect of transit Saturn. Transit Jupiter is closely afflicted by the 75% 4th aspect of natal Saturn and exactly afflicted by the 50% aspect 5th aspect of natal Mars (non-SA). Natal Venus is under the multiple malefic influences of Rahu, Ketu and Saturn. Transit Venus is closely afflicted by the 8th aspect of natal Rahu (non-SA) and widely afflicted by natal Mars. Transit Saturn, L6 (earthquakes) is closely afflicting MEPs 12, 4 and 7. Guest guest
Right you are Sally about the effective outcome of the Sumatra quakes. The Indonesian archipelago is regularly hammered this way by mother nature, but it's usually well offshore leaving most of us inhabitants down here, those of us on the high and dry, quite safe. Guest guest
Hi Sally, This quake has affected several countries: Indonesia, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, etc…with the tidal waves that have followed it as we can see in this news from Jakarta Post: http://www.thejakartapost.com/detaillatestnews.asp?fileid=20041226162308 & irec=3 Aceh quake the fifth largest since 1900: USGS WASHINGTON (Reuters): The earthquake that shook southern Asia on Sunday was one of the most powerful since the start of the 20th century, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. " We've just updated it to 8.9 magnitude. That makes it the fifth largest earthquake since 1900, " said Julie Martinez, geophysicist for the U.S. Geological Survey's Earthquake Hazards Program in Golden, Colorado. It was the largest quake in the world since 1964, she said. That year, an earthquake struck Alaska's Prince William Sound. Sunday's quake, first struck at 7:59 a.m (0059 GMT) off the coast of Aceh province on the northern Indonesian island of Sumatra and appeared to swing north into the Andaman islands in the Indian Ocean. It triggered a tsunami that killed hundreds in Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia and India. " About 1,000 kilometers of the Andaman thrust (or faultline) broke, which is a huge area, " Martinez said. " This doesn't occur that often. To have a break along that long of a faultline, that is more unusual. " As the Earth moves and its plates hit each other, the Earth breaks in one area and pressure is built up in a different area, Martinez said. When that pressure builds up, another earthquake occurs, she said. The quakes that follow, or aftershocks, are minorreadjustments along the fault after the main shock or quake occurs, Martinez explained. " Usually, aftershocks are in more or less the same area, " she said. " Because of the size of this quake, you will see more quakes in a larger area because the break or the faultline is larger. " (***) Best wishes, Jorge -----Original Message----- Sally Spencer [sally234] domingo, 26 de Dezembro de 2004 11:25 SAMVA Re: For Jorge;) Earthquake in Sumatra Hi Jorge, I am blind, when it comes to charts these days.. I thought Rahu fifth aspected Jupiter... And by the way earthquakes are eighth house at least in SA.. But I'm guessing the 6L aspect on fourth was the cause..it's a natal trigger as you pointed out. TSun was afflicting the TMoon as fourth house significator... TSun was afflicting natal Rahu as well. Apparently for the most part it shook people up , only two houses were reported damaged as of today.. Thanks. Sally Sixth house The sixth house rules public amity, relations with neighbors, general health of the public, political stability, political opposition, financial solvency of the nation, litigations, judicial functioning, communal harmony in the country and labour relations. Financial strength / Tax Departments etc Jorge Angelino wrote: Dear Sally, Thanks for the e-mail. Guest guest
Yes John, I believe the shake up was in the twelfth house, people's psyche or unconscious.. Sally John TWB wrote: Right you are Sally about the effective outcome of the Sumatra quakes. The Indonesian archipelago is regularly hammered this way by mother nature, but it's usually well offshore leaving most of us inhabitants down here, those of us on the high and dry, quite safe.
