Mr. Iver will need to describe a little more in detail what is

happening. If I recall right the program needs to display a pop-up

window and if those are blocked it won't work. Cookies may also need to

be enabled. It could also be a firewall problem.

First off you have to enter the form or data for the horoscope:

 

http://yournetastrologer.com/horoform.htm

 

That will then take you to the page you listed. The form pages does a

POST to that page with the variables you entered. If you just go to

that page you will get any number of different errors including the one

you gave. If you do get the error after submitting the form you may

have your security settings set too high (try Medium in IE) and again

the page does not get the data. Also there are probably security

setting for the processing ASP to make sure the request came from the

form page and not from some other site which is essentially hijacking

the Professor's program.

 

A quick tip: whenever you get an error on a web page then type or cut

and paste the error message into a search engine and do a search. You

can find answers quickly to the problem that way.

Professor, I just checked and there is an error coming up on the ASP page:

 

HoroDll error '800a9c68'

 

Application-defined or object-defined error

 

/horocls.asp, line 13

 

So you may want to notify Horosoft. I take it they host the engine not

your server.

through this software?

 

Which version of Windows is being used by you on your computer/laptop?

Someday i might be able to analyse your chart to find out how/why you can be so calm !

This error started recently.

I'm using Windows XP on Dell laptop. I've also tried your site from another place Win2000 with a desktop but couldn't get the horoscope to work.

 

Brian made some comments about going directly to the relevant page etc.

I don't do that. I firstly go to your site then to the free horoscope page.

I don't go to the horoscope page directly.

front. I think some thing is likely to be some error at the internet level.
