Guest guest
Hello dear Mr. Jorge, The clear transit afflictions of Saturn to natal Saturn; Rahu and Ketu on MEP of various houses and the prolonged affliction of Sun to transit Venus as per SA clearly evidence the reasons for the quake. Mention of insignificant and rarely applicable non SA afflictions can only confuse the learners. To me it really does not matter any body following any thing but to learners on an SA website it matters most. The transit Moon, debilitated in rashi, is afflicted by natal Rahu. Transit Jupiter, L4, is under the multiple afflictions of the transit Sun and stationary Rahu/Ketu axis (non-SA: exactly on the midpoint Sun/Rahu). Natal Mars, L8, is under the close aspect of stationary Ketu. Transit Mars is weak as it is placed in H5 and the MEPs of all the odd houses are under the exact influence of stationary Rahu/Ketu axis. In rashi, Venus is strong but under the influence of the Rahu/Ketu axis and Saturn (non-SA: exactly on the midpoint Saturn/Rahu). In transit, Venus is exactly afflicted by the Sun. Natal Sun is closely afflicted by stationary Rahu. Transit Saturn, L6, is exactly conjunct natal Saturn. Transit Mercury, L1, is exactly afflicted by transit Sun, and natal Mercury is afflicted by transit Mars. Notes: As the lagna is vargottama, the FMPs in rashi and navamsha are the same, which makes them more malefic. (non-SA: In transit, Mercury, Venus, the Sun and Jupiter are all under the multiple influence of natal Rahu/Ketu axis.) Guest guest
Dear Professor, Communication is really a challenge with Mercury debilitated. So let me see if I can answer your kind remarks without creating more confusion to our dear list members. The reasoning why I am sharing some points with the list regarding the recently rectified charts has to do with the work of rectification itself. During the rectification of the chart of Indonesia, even though Venus is a functional benefic and comes up strong according with SA rules, it is almost always associated with calamities. This is a clear case where a planet is in the threshold of the 5 degrees SA orb of affliction, and behaves as if exactly afflicted by the MMP. Knowing this beforehand, while looking to the transits and dasha of this event, I noticed that the bhukti lord is exactly in the same condition in transit, i.e., it is on the midpoint of Rahu/Sun. Of course, we can say that the weak status of natal Venus comes from being badly placed and under multiple afflictions in navamsha. This is also possible. I am sure SA does not speak of it just because it demands full certainty of the time of birth; otherwise the navamsha lagna may change. Regarding what you have called " an insignificant and rarely applicable non SA affliction " , i.e., the multiple influence of natal Rahu/Ketu over Mercury, Venus, the Sun and Jupiter in transit, my reasoning is the following: according with Vedic Astrology, knowing that every planet aspects 100% its opposite house; every planet aspects in 75% the 4th and 8th house (except Mars, that aspects them in 100%); every planet aspects in 50% its 5th and 9th house (except Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu that aspect them in 100%); every planet aspects in 25% its 3rd and 10th house (except Saturn, that aspects them in 100%), we can say that when a planet forms a square aspect with the Rahu/Ketu axis it is simultaneously under the 75% aspect of Rahu/Ketu plus the 25% aspect of Ketu/Rahu, which makes it equivalent of a 100% aspect of one of the nodes. Excuse me for insisting on this my dear Professor, but in my humble opinion it is not an aspect so insignificant. It is really a full aspect. That is why I am considering it. I have accepted to be the moderator of the SAMVA list just because that enables me to learn more about Mundane Astrology under your guidance. I sincerely hope that our dear SA learners do not become confused by my commentaries. This is not my purpose. They have only to follow the SA rules (that is why my non-SA commentaries come in brackets).
