Sun transits out of Cancer and into its own sign, Leo, on Aug. 16. Sun is weak until Aug. 21. (Help your father and don’t count on authority figures.)

 

Moon transits Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Capricorn. Moon, in Libra, is aspected by Mars on Aug. 11. Moon, in Scorpio, is debilitated Aug. 13-14, and is under the aspect of Mars and Rahu on Aug. 14. (Be patient with others and don’t take chances.)

 

Mars transits Aries from 13:48 to 17:17°. (This is especially good through Sept. 6 for Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces rising signs. It was also good for the Space Shuttle Discovery astronauts.)

 

Mercury finishes its retrograde motion just before midnight, Aug. 15, and transits Cancer from 16:10 to 15:04°, under the close aspect of Mars. (This should energize the stock market. Invest in Mars significations, such as real estate, energy funds, etc.)

 

Venus transits out of Leo and into Virgo, Aug. 11. Venus is debilitated Aug. 11-Sept. 5. (Protect the women in your life, along with art and luxuries, and take care traveling.)

 

Jupiter transits Virgo from 20:55 to 22:05°, closely conjunct Ketu, aspected by Rahu. (Do a liver cleanse. Protect your husband and children. Watch for religious news.)

 

Saturn transits Cancer from 09:22 to 10:14°.

 

Rahu and Ketu transit Pisces and Virgo, from 21:10 to 20:49°. (Persons with rising signs, or planets in “even” signs, from 18 to 22° should be patient and cautious.

 

TRANSITS FOR EACH RISING SIGN:

 

Aries: Enjoy the power of Mars in Aries, but protect your marriage, partners, children, investments, father and guru. Gain from parents, property, and working out of your home, but avoid domestic disputes.

 

Taurus: Connect your career and education with independent activities and initiatives. Consider relocation, ashrams, and traveling abroad. Protect your health, children, finances, and home life.

 

Gemini: Gain from property, friends, older siblings, family life, and executive position. Avoid new enterprises until Aug. 21. Protect your marriage, partnerships, children, and investments.

 

Cancer: Protect your wealth, family life, health, finances, and property. Enjoy your career and self-initiatives. Be careful to avoid accidents. Be patient with delays, obstructions, and setbacks.

 

Leo: The transit of a strong Mars gives you good fortune, but be patient through Aug. 21. Protect your marriage, partnerships, wealth, status, children, investments, and self initiatives.

 

Virgo: Gain from friendships, writing, business, and communications. There can be windfalls, inheritance or insurance settlement. Protect property and home life. Avoid travel and expenses.

 

Libra: Keep rested through Sept. 5. Let your spouse and partners help you. Avoid losses in your career and expenses. Income improves after Aug. 20. Focus on education and investments.

Sagittarius: Get rest and be careful, cautious and patient through Aug. 21. Career improves in Sept. Invest in research, property and your children’s education. Income is weak until Sept. 10.
