Guest guest Posted December 2, 2005 Report Share Posted December 2, 2005 Homes Evacuated After Tanker Crashes, Burns POSTED: 7:48 am EST November 30, 2005 UPDATED: 10:51 am EST December 1, 2005 NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Six homes in Lawrence County were evacuated while crews tried to keep liquid oxygen from spilling out of a tanker truck, WTAE Channel 4 Action News reporter Marcie Cipriani said. The truck drove off an overpass on Route 60 in Neshannock Township, crashed down onto Pulasky Road and caught fire at about 1:40 a.m. Wednesday, police told Cipriani. Police said the tanker was carrying liquid oxygen, which is combustible but not flammable. Johnny Smith, 33, of Canton, Ohio, died in the wreck.
