explosions in Hankow alert the government to an impending revolt in the

tri-city area of Wuhan (Wuchang, Hankow, and Hanyang) on the middle Yangtze;

the police obtain a list of local revolutionaries - wave of arrests 

Oct.10 > Three activists

are executed in Wuhan [morning] - local revolutionaries fear that mass

reprisals are imminent - engineering troops mutiny in Wuchang and seize the

arsenal [evening]: THE ‘DOUBLE TEN’ RISING, THE START OF THE 1911 CHINESE

REVOLUTION

1949        Oct 1, Republic

of China (Taiwan) was formed on island of Formosa. The Nationalists under

Chiang Kai-shek had been defeated and fled to Taiwan and took control. Chiang

Kai-shek established the “temporary†government of the Republic of China in Taipei

and established martial law.

 

1951        Oct 22, An

earthquake hit Formosa and 100 people were killed.

 

1960        Jun 4, The

Taiwan island of Quemoy was hit by 500 artillery shells fired from the coast of

Communist China

 

1964        Sep 12, Typhoon

Gloria struck Taiwan killing 330

 

Apr 05, 1975: Chiang

Kai-Shek, head of Nationalist China, dies.

 

1978        Dec 15,

President Carter announced he would grant diplomatic recognition to the

People’s Republic of China, i.e. Communist China, on New Year's Day and

sever official relations with the Republic of China (Taiwan).

 

1987        Jul 14, Taiwan

ended 37 years of martial law.

 

1995        Feb 15, A fire

roared through a three-story nightclub in Taichung, Taiwan, killing at least 64

people.

 

1997        Aug 18, Typhoon

Winnie swept over the island and left 24 people dead.

earthquake in Taiwan triggered falling rock that killed 4 people and injured 19

pro-independence parties were defeated in legislative elections.

and Taiwan agreed to allow the first direct flights since 1949.

 

2005        Jan 29, Chinese

jetliners touched down in Taiwan, completing the first nonstop flights between

the rivals since a bloody civil war split the two sides 56 years ago.

 

Taiwan(ROC)

rectified chart is the same as China(PRC) rectified chart i.e. they are two

parts of the same entity.

chart and planet positions are indescernable, at least on my

download. However, when I hit " reply " , your intended charts come up

clearly. Am I doing anything incorrect?. BTW, I have the SAMVA posts

forwarded to my Hotmail account with your attachments, and they come

through fine. My best wishes, Chuck

Dear Chuck,

 

Thanks. I have noticed that, but I don't know the reason. At least, you are able

to see them with the " reply " function. It must be needed some change in some

page code in my computer, but I am totally ignorant on that...
